  1. A dealership will try to charge you for 4-6 hours. The actual job will take less than 3 hours, if they don't connect the on/off switch. 3-4 hours if the switch is wired in.
  2. Here are a couple: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/CompareTires...p;startIndex=10 Not many available in the 265 size. Much more selection in the 255.
  3. You want an "R" compound tire. I see lots of "Hoosier" tires at the track.
  4. Luis, have a nice glass of vintage port, and don't worry about the coolant anymore! Just keep your eye on the fluid levels every couple weeks. :)
  5. I only suggested this (frontal accident) because you stated the hoses and fuel lines looked very new for a 6 year old car.
  6. I just got all new tires. PS2's. In about 200 miles, they were very grippy.
  7. Had the car been involved in an accident (frontal) prior to your ownership?
  8. This might help: http://www.porsche.com/usa/accessoriesands...ter-987/wheels/
  9. Don't these repairs need to be State certified? How will you ever be able to sell that car in the future?
  10. I think once you get that hose to stay on really well, something else is going to blow off.
  11. Warranty labor rates area about $125. The shop rate is probebly closer to $200 than to your number of $125.
  12. Did they do a coolant service at the last major service?
  13. I agree with Loren, that's a ton of fluid. I hope you added a compatible fluid. Could be something as simple as the coolant cap or they did not properly fill the system at the last service.
  14. Did you PPI the car? When did you check CarFax? After the sale? You need to do these steps prior to final purchase.
  15. Make sure you document everything, and become familiar with your State's lemon-laws.
  16. Tire Rack or your dealership. Tire Rack is Porsche's tire distributor for the USA. Therefor a dealer can (this does not mean they will) offer as good or better pricing than Tire Rack.
  17. I never valet my cars. Park in an end-spot. And walk. Good for the heart and mind!
  18. You will get a 3.2l. Ask them if you can pay the up-charge for the 3.4 or negotiate for the 3.4 for your inconvenience. Worst they can say is 'no". You get in life what you negotiate...not what you deserve! :)
  19. What oil are you using? Viscosity? How much oil are you using per a specific number of miles?
