  1. Yeah, and how many of these have already been wrecked??
  2. I saw one on the track last week, at a PCA DE event. The car was wicked. In the rain too. It was bright green. The plate said "ribbett". :) What is the main difference between a GT3 and a GT3 RS??
  3. I like the silver, and would consider changing. But, I'd have to change out the wheel crests too, so it all matches, and I really don't want to do all (both) that. And, I have not seen nice silver wheel crests. IMHO, Bumperplugs has a very nice, high quality, silver hood crest.
  4. Just so you know, Sea Foam is not Porsche approved. I think the Chevron product with Techron is. Knowledgable people also recommend doing an oil change after using a fuel system cleaner.
  5. Normal. When the car reaches certain temperature thresholds, the fan up front turns on automatically. Is your a Tip? Do you use the AC? You need to keep an eye on your air filter and possibly shorten your oil change interval, given your current road conditions (dust).
  6. Just don't leave the jar of vaseline in your car. This may freak out passanger. :)
  7. How about $99.95! http://e-partssales.com/Merchant2/merchant...Code=996C2Floor
  8. They will both work for your business, with price matching and bettering the deal.
  9. Ok, congrats. So you got a "free" battery charger and car cover. I'd hardly consider that "resolved", but if you are happy, that's all that matters. Good job. $650 for a bumper re-spay, in Ohio, seems kind of high to me. But I'd take quality over price any day.
  10. Have fun. Be safe. Fortune Cookie says you will need new clutch very soon! :)
  11. Could it be that the tranny just needs to "re-learn" the new driver's driving style? I thought the Porsche Tip was a "smart" transmission.
  12. Why? Not Porsche approved, either. You are doing it the right way now, with OEM filters and fresh oil at 7,500. This is all you really need to do. Same the money, and don't buy the additives.
  13. Why note try a few strategically placed dabs of silicone? I realize the eye-ball would then not pivot, but then again, does anyone really use the timing device clock?
  14. This may help you: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...c=27723&hl=
  15. Love the white Porsches! Nice car. I also had my oil change very near the initial break-in period. I have always done this with all my new cars. I think it is good, and cheap, insurance. I actually love the electronic dip stick, and think it works great.
  16. CellN12345, make sure you buy one of these. Sunset, our site sponsor, may have better pricing: http://e-partssales.com/Merchant2/merchant...ry_Code=996elec
  17. It is NEVER recommended to have mixed brand tires on a performance sports car. In your case, you may be enhancing road noise due to the harmonic imbalance with the mixed tires.
  18. One of the many advantages of OEM rotors is that they have painted hats. Many people complain with aftermarket rotors that the hats rust. Something to consider.
  19. How often do you drive your car? Daily? Once a week? For how long? I drive my car about once per week. When not being driven, it is plugged into the Porsche battery maintainer. This will greatly prolong the health of your battery. Don't buy a $350 battery from Porsche, please.
  20. As you know, tire wear is completely modulated by the right foot! What kind of tires on on it now? I would expect you to see similiar mileage, maybe slightly less with the extra HP now. Keep good alignment and tire pressures.
  21. Most Porsche dealerships do NOT have a body shop. They send the work out. Have bumperplugs redo the bumperettes. Maybe a good detail guy can fix the other stuff. A quality bumper respray will be a few hundred dollars.
  22. This is why I would never buy anything of value sight unseen. I hope this gets worked out to your satisfaction.
