  1. Danyo, go heavy or go home! Get this too: http://e-partssales.com/Merchant2/merchant...ory_Code=997gt3 B)
  2. jgolf53, call or e-mail Eric at www/bumperplugs.com. He may know. Great guy, too!
  3. Loren, why don't we have Checklists for the 993 TT? Thanks.
  4. Why do you let it get that "low"? That's more than 1 quart low. Possibly closer to 2 quarts low. The oil is important for cooling too- very important.
  5. I am pretty sure it is the engine oil. So it would be Mobil One 0W40.
  6. jgolf53, here is an older link: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/398499.htm I would think the current Stone Grey leather would look very nice. As would Sand Beige. Sorry, I don't know the paint code.
  7. Freelance, I saw my first RS60 in person on Wednesday. I was very impressed. The car looked great. Your build looks very nice, but you are missing the PSE. The PSE is a very-very nice exhaust and really adds to the overall ownership experience, IMHO. One of the greatest parts of the Porsche buying process is the ability to custom order the car from Germany. The potential options selection and combinations is just about unlimited. This really sets the car apart from many others, and makes the process a lot of fun. Truely like, "a kid in the candy shop"! :) Enjoy your new car. Follow the Porsche break-in proceedure to the tee. And change the oil about the 1,000 mile mark.
  8. Hey, those red rims look great. I may need to order 4 of those! :D
  9. Wartooth, Napleton is just down the street from my office. You will love the Autobahn. I did a PCA event there a couple summers ago. Enjoy.
  10. Why are they made wider? By how much? Is this for the all wheel drive function?
  11. I have no oil consumption between oil changes. Car has 18K miles and is a 2006. I change oil yearly.
  12. Inspecting the CV joints & boots is part of the standard maintenance chech list. So if this were missed, either you or the dealership or indy, would not be doing the proper job. Good thing you caught it. :) During a spirited drive last Spring, a performance car in front of me lost a CV boot. Smoke and grease came flying out of the rear end. Looked like the engine let go. I got a windsheild full of grease too.
  13. Wartooth, congrats on the new car! What P-dealership does this "flash". What do they say about the effect on the warranty, if any? Thanks.
  14. That's just a crazy long time to be running oil. This is pretty shocking, to say the least.
  15. Chris, your car is 11 years old. The warranty is over. Porsche ain't gonna comp any parts. Why should they? You need to drive that Garage Queen more! :) Did you say 2,000 miles on a 1997? You must have a small garage! :D
  16. I saw one yesterday in a Denver dealership. It was stunning!
  17. My understanding of these cars are that they were driven buy a Porsche employee, for a limited amount of time. Or, they were the first cars brought to the USA, with pre-set options and colors. These cars were used by PCNA to let the dealerships learn about the cars and test drive them. Then they are sold to the public.
  18. I have 19" Carrera Classics and love the look, ride and handeling. Easier to clean too, since my hand can reach the entire barrel. One thing to consider is that there are many more available tire selections, and less co$t, in the 18" size vs the 19"s. Something to consider.
  19. I followed a few Porsches last year through the Tail of the Dragon. In rain and dry. They had the GS-D3's. I have PS2's. Those guys did really-really well on those tires.
  20. My dealership had a hard time doing this too on my 987. On the second try (diff. tech), they got it right.
  21. Kalmah987, does your car have a short-shifter kit? If so, this makes more effort a requirement for shifting. One thing I do, is I go into 1st gear just briefly, then more over to reverse. Then I know I am in the right spot.
  22. RacerC4s, you can use Porsche's website and search pre-owned cars that are also CPO'd.
