  1. Will, is a new car warranty from Porsche different in other parts of the World? Here in the USA we get 4 years years/50,000 miles. That would still be under warranty, as long as you don't have >50,000 miles.
  2. Not heard this issue before. Don't forget, a flashing CEL is very severe. And you should pull over (to a safe location) immediately, turn off the engine, and call Porsche Roadside Assistance. Keep us updated.
  3. Congrats on the new car! Guards Red and Beige are a great color combo. There are no inexpensive Porsches. Especially the ones you buy for "cheap".
  4. Get in the weight room, and start building your calf muscles. Hire a personal trainer if you must. This will help you excellerate 25% faster...just like Sport Chrono. Then buy a Rolex Dayton for the timing function. This will be less money too. Good luck finding a Daytona! :)
  5. As I said, the ambient temp was about 55 (F). Sorry, I missed that. Still sounds normal to me. 175 on your temp guage is very normal too.
  6. The right rear (USA cars) vent is for the engine cooling. You are hearing the fan. The left side vent is for air intake. What was the out air temp?
  7. Wurth also has a very good clear coat. www.wurthusa.com
  8. Bob, whatever you do, don't have the key in the ignition when working on the airbag.
  9. GRotvik, what are you planning to do? Do tell! :)
  10. Based on other Threads about oil consumption, this appears within Porsche's spec's.
  11. Painters tape to protect the front end. A good tire pressure gauge. Advice on the best tire pressures to run. Your tires and brake pads should be fine for this first DE. Make necessary changes as you advance in the process. Have fun. Great way to learn about the car.
  12. I now agree with Wizard, after re-reading everything, my mistake. Sorry. Replace just one tire.
  13. Nontechmike, I think you need to replace both tires on that axle. Having only 3-4 mm's left is not much tread. A new tire will be 10/32's. If the tires only had a few 1,000 miles, I'd replace just one tire, but you have over 10,000 miles. If not, you could upset the PSM.
  14. PSE is included in the RS60 package. tmc (new RS60 owner) TMC, that is what I am saying, that the PSE is part of the RS60. Freelance ordered his "clone RS60" without it. IMHO the PSE is a big deal. Congrats on your new car. Nery nice! :)
  15. Thanks, just sent them an email :) I found it on Autopartsnationwide.com for $34.30, but they won't tell me shipping until after the order is processed. Pelican Parts is $42.50+$8.50 shipping. Is autopartsnationationwide reputable, or do they going to jack up the shipping cost? Sunset has great pricing. Especially if you do not live in their state.
  16. Make that Sport Chrono Plus (option code 640). Do you have this option?
  17. I don't think so, that's why we have the "wart" on the dash.
  18. Grover, call Sunset Porsche tomorrow, and order one. They have great pricing. www.sunsetporsche.com
  19. Grover, no duct tape on a Porsche, please!!!!: http://e-partssales.com/Merchant2/merchant...y_Code=POTEBXEX
