  1. I had the same problem after a headliner replacement. The "who-knows-what-it's-for" 5 amp fuse 7, driver's side, was blown. After ensuring that the upper control panel wires were connected correctly, I started to work backwards. The sun visors have lights in them. I removed the bracket that holds it to the roof (two Torx screws) and carefully dropped it from the headliner. There is wire that goes into the sun visors, it is covered by a pliable plastic wire protector. I carefully slit the protector, which exposed two small gauge wires (brown and red) that had been pinched to the point that the insulation of each was abraded; they had shorted. My issue was driver's side. Easy fix. carefully separate the two thin wires, place a small piece of vinyl electrical tape between them, add a dab of liquid electrical tape or rubber cement, put the small wires back into the pliable plastic protector, and then wrap the pliable plastic protector with electrical tape. Problem solved. Check the fix works with a new fuse in position 7. if that solves it, you're done. Otherwise, go interior light by light to check for shorts. It was so easy that I suggest one start with the sun visor wires. There is a metal roof bracket where they come through the headliner into the car interior and it is very tight. If the wire is not seated correctly it will get pinched between the metal bracket and the sun visor bracket, causing the abrasion. I did not have to disassemble the sun visor to solve this.
