    Loren, I got an important question about removing the heater core. Do I have to remove the hole dash again? or the heatercore come out on the frontside without touching the dash? I remember removing the dash 2 year ago working on evaporator, but I never worked on the big A/C Box. B) Thanks again, Jose

    Thanks Again, I'll get those clamps and check those signs carefully before proceed. B) Jose Jose: Coolant smell in the A/C is definitely one of the signs that your heater core (or the connections to it) may be leaking. Sometimes you will get a couple of drops of coolant which will end up on your right foot as it sits on the gas pedal or a few drops in that general area. Another sign is if you get an oily film on the inside of the lower part of the windshield when the blower is on. Regards, Maurice.

    Thanks Loren, I can tell that is not in the pedal. The sound is more prominent when I open the windows. The only way to hear it is when pedal is pressed. I can't be outside and inside the car at the same time. So I can't define if it is comming from the front or rear. Let say that is comming from rear! It sound like worn pulley or powerstering without oil,you know! because when the car is accelerated with the clutch pedal down that sound increase. The sound dissapear after the pedal is released. :huh:

    Holly hints, Thanks alot. Before do it, I want to know if a coolant smell in the AC diserve to check the heater core. Do I suppose to find any leak on the front compartment? I don't want to sound unprofessional, but this the first time I suspect this. Your help very appreciated, I'll ask more when performing the procedure. B) Jose Jose: For step #4, here is what two of those hose shut-off clamps look like. They are available from PepBoys: Also, pay attention to bleeding air out of the system once you are done or your coolant tank will overflow. If you have a Uview vacuum tool, it will make it that much easier. Take heed to carefully seal the foam cover or you may end up with leaks of outside water on your feet! Regards, Maurice.

    I can't really tell you right know if my car includes the TC option b/c I'm 180 miles away. But Iater after 2 weeks I'll take a picture of the options that include. let leave this PSM light dilemma for 2 weeks. I had made another post about this "sweet fishy smell" or coolant thru my air conditioning at certaing temperatures from 68-74 degrees on the AC panel. And this clutch sound when I pressed. It looks comming from the front side, the clutch has a normal pressure.

    Good grief, I was googling the same picture, Thanks. Well, Yes, Its exclusive for C4 but what can be explained when that light came ON after the tires got overpressured? In my instrument cluster there's a bulb on the PSM socket bulb and not in the TC. By the way what is the color of B marked in that picture? red or amber? Anyway theres no bulb on A, and B and I remove N b/c it was disturbing me .

    I don't know what to say, It came ON one day after over pressure the tires, then the brake pedal became harder, I don't remmember see that PSM light again, I know it wasn't the TC light because is red color, I remmember the amber light in left hand side panel. I took a look at the Porsche Manual and in the PSM topic was mention that overpressure tires can trigger the PSM light ON. But I can tell you that I was working on the instrument cluster bulbs some time ago and I don't recall see any bulbs on TC light socket. I'll check those again.

    My 99 996 C2 don't show the psm light at start up since long time ago and I'm getting worried. Is this normal? Last time the light came on I run the car with over pressured tires, after the pressure was corrected light came off. Please help

    My 99' 996 C2 has a particular sound when I press the clutch, is increased when I accelerate the engine idling or running, "sounds like a old power steering pump". The clutch pressure is good. The sound look like is coming from the front side of the vehicle. What is it? And to complete it has a coolant smell in air conditioning. I check the coolant reseirvor and in fact has decreased. I checked for any leaks near engine and front bumper and nothing! It is possible the heater core? Where to check? I'll appreciate any help B) Jose

    One of the headlight courtesy light specifically the passenger side is not ON, I check the bulb and is okay. Before this light was ON and Off between starting the engine On and OFF now is permanent OFF. What can be the problem.

    Some body diagnosed with ultra ear device to detect small leaks plus if take a sneaky look thru the blower compartment you can see the evaporator oily. I did a second diagnose by using the UV refrigerant with UV light detector to confirm my self, a $20 thing.

    I really don't focus on only one "missing certification" as others aftermarket wheels have "less certifications" than others and people still benerate them.
