  1. Thanks for you link, if I want to use the four points seat belt system instead of the factory seat belt shown on the refer document, but I still want to keep the airbg and seat belt warning light working, what should I do? please advice Thanks Honestly, I don't want yo keep the old seat belt, I would like to either have a four or five points seat belt system, did anyone done that before? I know if I use the old seat belt, all I have to do is to transfer the old seat belt receptable and its cable to the new seats, but I really like to get the four or five points seat belt system, do anyone know where to get a four or five points seat belt system that would work with porsche factory receptable device (which mean the 4 or 5 points seat belt buckle can work with Porsche factory seat belt receptable device/connector)?

  3. I am thinking of purchase 2 OEM GT3 seats to replace the factory leather seats, I disconnect the factory wiring of the factory seats and removed the seats off the car. The OEM GT3 seats came with side mount and sliders, but there is no factory connectors came within the seats, what should I do with the cable still lying on the floor (the cable is suppose to connect to the connector under the seat)? Do I have to purchase any extra hardware to avoid any safety voilation? The factory seat belt, should I remove them? I would like to purchase a four points seat belt system with the OEM seats, do I have to drill any hole on the car floor? Can I tie the two pieces of shoulder belt onto the Boxster anti-roll over bar, or I have to replace the factory anti-roll over bar with a special anti-roll over that works with four points seat belt system (edit - made image viewable - Loren)
  4. thanks again
  5. Please let me know where I can get the boot by itself
  6. Currently I am having a factory shift boot and knob, I would like to replace the factory knob to a OEM knob (see attachment), the OEM knob doesn't came with the leather boot. I find out the factory knob and the boot are in one piece, if I remove the knob, it will remove the boot too, and my replacement knob doesn't came with any leather boot, what option can I have, is there any way I can purchase the boot seperately, please advice? (edit - converted image to a viewable format - Loren)
  7. I just finished removing the dashboard off my Boxster, I throught it could be a very hard task. I am not a expert on fixing/reparing car, I just interested in making my car looks better. Last month I decided to upgrade my car interior component to Arctic Silver color, so I start removing all the interior component that came in factor black color off the car and send them to paint shop. But when I try to remove the airbag strips, I damage some sport on the dash, which require me to hire someone to fix the dash leather for me. If I know that removing the dash is not that difficult, I could remove the entire dash out and then remove the airbag strips screw at the back instead of pulling them out by force. If anyone want to remove their dashboard that require any information, please feel free to reply to me. I find that even with the Porsche workshop mannual is not explaning the process in too detail, some steps are missing on mannual and I can provid you the missing puzzle. Cheer
  8. Hope this instruction can help you out
  9. i already remove the airbag strip under the passenger side airbag cover, I would like to find out how to remove the cover, is there any screw i need to take out, or I just have to use some force to pull it out of its way. I try to pull it out, but there is something at the back stopping me from pulling it out, what step am I missing? Please advice Thanks I finally figure it out how to take it out. Even though I have the Porsche techical manual with me, I can't understand what that mean, if there are people out there having the same problem as me, can't open the passenger airbag cover, here is the steps: First of all, disconnect the battery. Under the dash on the passenger seat side, there is a black foam sheet that cover the bottom of the dash. Remove the two plastic screw and take the foam cover off. After you took off the foam cover, take a look at the inside, you will find a black plastic air vent tube (it is the middle section of the right side air vent system), took that section out. After you took the plactic tube out, take a look deep inside, you should able to see the bottom of the airbag unit, you should also see 3 screws, remove it all (2 extremely long and 1 short, they can be remove by a 10mm socket). Once you have removed all 3 screw, you can now remove the passanger side airbag cover off the dash and then discconect the cable connector. Note: After you took out the unit, the passanger side airbag cover panel is still held together with the airbag unit, in order to seperate the cover panel with the airbag unit, you have to remove a couple of more screws.

  13. Is there a way to repair winkle artificial leather? I replaced the airbag dash strip last week and I damaged the edge of the artificail leather near the surrounding of the strips (there are some winkle near leather edge), I pull the edge of leather off the dash (the leather used to stick onto the metal) and try to make it smooth again, but it doesn't work, do anyone know any method that can make the winkle disappear? Will a heat gun help in this case?
