  1. Can't wait to get their other products for my paint :D This picture from their website rocks...
  2. Glad I finally discovered it!
  3. +1 Dean.. I saw a 997 S Cab the other day driven by a "Mom" in Pasadena. I didn't look like it had EVER been washed. I wanted to take the keys from her and give her the Prius she deserved. That stuff makes me crazy
  4. Just wanted to share my experience with a new product. I ordered the leather cleaner and Leather conditioner from Zaino on advice from a friend. I also ordered the polish for clear coat. In three days the stuff was delivered to my door. The leather stuff is awesome. It smells like leather and the cleaner romoved more dirt than I thought would be there. The conditioner is a cream that absorbs into the leather without leaving it sticky like the Lexol (and others) do. I used it on my seats last night. This morning my seats were supple, soft and smelled awesome. It's the best results I have had from a leather conditioner. I will try the polish for the paint this weekend. Just wanted to pass along my experience. :renntech:
  5. The lower Tie Rods are $61.35 on line at this place. I have bought a lot of parts from them.. http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/ind...&makeid1=29 Maybe Sunset has them for around the same price. I need them for my car as well.. B)
  6. Great work! Thanks for the detailed write up :D
  7. Do a search here on "replacing brake rotors". You will find lots of info. There is a great brake DIY here. It is very easy. Good luck
  8. Paul, hey im a san carlos man myself as i work on laurel st! anyway, i had given both wevo and sharkwerks a call today and neither want to take a project on like this...... thanks for your input though and see you on the track soon! just joined pca and starting school and the 11th. so far i have contacted these shops with no luck: 1) GD racing (south san francisco) - NO 2) Wevo (san carlos) - NO 3) Sharkwerks (santa clara) - NO 4) Jerry Woods Enterprises (campbell) - havent heard back yet 5) TRG (petaluma) - possibly doing the work thanks for your input guys, i may have to goto arizona if TRG cant assist me. Arizona? Try Reno. You're only 4 hours away. A frind of mine owns a shop and it's called Modified Auto. He works on ny cars, rebuilding engines, installing turbos etc. His phone number is 775-412-7884. Ask him to see if he can install it for you. I think a lot of them don't want to install it due to what's involved. It a PITA to install and it takes too long. Where did you get your supercharger from ? TPC? or Ebay? picked up the charger manufacture direct from TPC. i may be up for selling the complete kit if someone has interest. please PM me for price inqueries, thanks Why would someone sell a kit that no one wants to install? Hmmm.......
  9. Contact these guys. They have a very good reputation and should be able to guide you. Good luck http://www.advleather.com/
  10. I have bought their products before. They are great guys. Their leather restorer/conditioner is fantastic and smells like leather and is non sticky. If anyone who wants to order from them is in California call them and place the order instead of doing it through their website (the shipping can be less.) I spoke the the guy there and they are very helpful. Apparently they specialize in restoring expensive leather furniture and really know their stuff. It's nice to know that someone out there has a good product and integrity. :D Can't say the same for many I have dealt with lately  And no, I have no affiliation with the company. :renntech:
  11. It's an easy job anyway. Try these guys for a quote. I have bought a lot of parts from them and had a very good experience. You have to do everything through the website but the prices are very good and delivery is quick. Last time I got my brakes through them and they were less expensive than Sunset. All Porsche OEM. http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/ind...CFQpzHgod3jRJrQ
  12. Excellent updates. Keep them coming.. I wish you success on a smooth run next time!! :jump:
  13. You are absolved of your sins.. :D :D :D
  14. Who made your GT2 bumper cover? Where did you get the lower lip portion? Thanks!
  15. LOX injection? (pardon my ignorance.)
  16. Go to You Tube and search for "GT3 vs M5." I saw a video where they raced many cars against each other at an airport in Europe. I saw one video where a 996 GT3 beat the M5 handily in a straight line. On the English program "Top Gear" the draged the 997 GT3 against the BMW M3 and the V8 Audi R8 and the GT3 won both races.
  17. Why even have a Porsche if your going to wait 6 months to wash it. :o You are making the Porsche police very angry B) I agree, what does it matter regarding the type of wash at this point
  18. maybe this would do the triick :D
  19. You may ruin your clutch. This topic has flamed may folks. B) Porsches don't take too kindly to drag launches especially C4's. Why don't you use your friends car so you can see how well his technique works? :clapping: Good luck and be nice to your clutch
  20. Check this thread and you can also do a search http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...c=27754&hl=
  21. I believe I have seen this problem before in another thread. Use the search tool and see what you can find. Good luck
  22. EXCELLENT idea! I got my hands on a "Sharpie" industrial marker. The ink in those things is supposed to be super permanent. I did a little inconspicuous spot, and the ink color is a dead ringer, (minus the metallic fleck) for Porsche black. Probably won't do it all over the car, but it's a great idea for little things here and there. I use a black Sharpie on trim pieces and it works great.
  23. Use the search tool and you will find many threads on batteries. $350 for a "Porsche" battery? :o Please.......... They are using the same technology as everyone else. No wonder they have the highest profit margins of any car company :P
