  1. Will post pictures this weekend :D We agonized with you. We gave you good advice. We gave you bad advice. We stood stoic in the maternity ward for the birth of your new black baby. Oooops..not politically correct. All we asked for was pictures. What did we get? Nothing! LOL!!
  2. They are in my wifes camera. I have to download them. I apologize  I have been dealing with my ailing mother. An excuse I know... I will post this weekend on this thead. Hopefully my full color wheel caps will come today or tomorrow so I can take more pics with those.
  3. White, All that HP made you weak :D Those funnely things are micro molecular fuel / air misting exstrapolators. Verrrry expensive..... B)
  4. This is a very, very cool 911 http://www.topspeed.com/cars/porsche/2010-...9/pictures.html
  5. Question out of ignorance. Are you adding the spacers (to your current wheels) for asthetic reasons or are you changing wheels?
  6. It's apparent that the new design engine is far easier on petrol :D
  7. Go for the 3.6 if you can afford it. There are so many Porsches for sale with desperate owners. Take your time and try to get a warranty.
  8. Vivid, Does the term "floating rotor" come from the fact that the rotor is seperate (bolted on) to it's hub? This is basically a racing rotor where the rotor itself can be replaced (without replacing the hub) correct? Do the gaps in the hub flange assist in cooling? Thanks
  9. From what the poster says there is a 3 pound difference in weight which is prettty substantial. For the track I'm sure they have their benefits over the stock rotor.
  10. To be quite honest I think that is the ugliest Turbo I have ever seen. Flat Blue? Why not Flat Rust? Why are black wheels so cool when EVERYONE has black wheels. I'm sure mechanically it is excellent and you did an amazing job. Just seems like Porsche tuners are going the way of the Japanese import scene and and that is quite disturbing. They are freakin race cars for god sakes. What's next hydraulics? Just my two cents. I'm sure I'll get flamed for this...... B)
  11. 1. No need to bleed after removing the rotors? 2. Did you need an impact driver to remove the phillips screws from the rotor? 3. Nice write up and a very sweet Turbo indeed! :clapping:
  12. I jsut ordered the the OEM Porsche colored crest wheel caps. I currently have the plastic caps with the black crest. I have the 19inch Carrera 5 spoke wheels. Do you have to take off the wheels to install the caps? Here are some photo's of what I currently have and what a bought..
  13. :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:
  14. I can't answer all you questions but if you do a search here there is a lot of information on engine rebuilding.
  15. Yes your new engine put in by dealer would have the upgrades. Probably a much better option than a 99 or 2000 with the original engine
  16. +1 Sport Chrono. :D I drove both with and without when shopping for my 997. The Sport Chrono is way more fun and allows fuel mapping and suspension changes that just aren't there without it. If you're getting a new car go with the Sport Chrono. You will be happy you did (even if you don't like the clock.) Good luck with whatever you decide
  17. No need my frriend. That's what this forum is for... Healthy disscussion...
  18. :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:
  19. If you do search there are some good threads on clutch replacement. Lots of people have done their own so I know it's not that big of a job if you have the skills. You will have to replace your flywheel if worn. I would stick with the OEM parts for your daily driver. . Go online and you can get the Sachs OEM replacement kit for much cheaper that buying it from Porsche. These kits come with the alignment tool. . Make sure you replace the TO and the pilot bearing. Get some new flywheel bolts as well (they are cheap). Some say to do your RMS while you are there and others say to leave it alone if it's not leaking. You will need a special tool if you decide to do the RMS. Read the threads here and see what you think. Good luck!!
