  1. If it's a 996 Carrera then no.. Not too sure about the 996 Turbo. If you want a short shifter for your 997 TT get the OEM Porsche version.. Try Sunset or Suncoast Porsche for a price. I have the SS and love it..
  2. You mean that yoiu want to alter a program yourself? Or do you want the programmer to alter values you have pre determined? No ECU tuner is going to allow you access to his progarm. I have a good suggestion of a company that will work with you.. PM me..
  3. Wow... That's actually quite high for and 07 but they gave you a nice price for the Z06. So I guess it all works out.. Please keep us posted on the new toy.. Based on your other cars I know you are not going to leeave your TT stock. Stay in touch. I have learned a lot about good mods and bad mods for these cars. You can start with a good ICU tune (Promotive, Softronic, Evoms) a good freeflowing exhaust with 200 cell cats (Europipe, Tech Art, Fabspeed) and porting (much cheaper) or replacing your headers. This will give you a nice 80 -100 hp gain. Lots more on race gas...
  4. Sounds like shifter cables to me as well..
  5. Beautiful car.. And yes the 2006 would have the improved IMS bearing. Your option sheet should be on the hood of your car.. If not if you give your dealer the VIN# he should be able to tell you the cars options. Enjoy and welcome!
  6. Jut go for an 06+ with a warranty.. You will be fine.. The 997 TT idea is a good one as well..
  7. Awesome.. Those are some beautiful cars that you have owned.. You are going to love your turbo. I have had mine for two trouble free years .. I have a Promotive tune and a Tech Art exhaust. I also lowered that car recently. I will probably keep mine for another year and get an 08 or 09. Can I ask you what you paid for the 07? Please keep us posted when you get it.. It took a lot of b***s to send your Z06 off like that! Wooo Hooo! A new Porsche for you!
  8. I believe they had issues with the PCM and battery cables... I can ask my tech.. The engine is the crucial weak point. That being said there are 05 owners that have never had a single issue.. You'll be better of with an 06+ with a Porsche warranty. They are getting very reasonable... I wish I still had mine.. I miss it...
  9. Zenmaster, I agree with you completely.. if they can't fix it demand another car..Too bad you have to go through this..Your attitude is what is needed to resolve this issue.. "I will be diplomatic but I will NOT go away until it is resolved." Please keep us posted on this..
  10. Thanks Wross. I was just curious because the Promotive tune has a speed density option that comes with the tune. You can switch back and forth from MAF to Speed density (if you want) with the flash cable. I was just wondering if UMW's tune was similar.
  11. Thanks.. Great to hear about a tuner that does great work and makes people happy. You tune sounds awesome.. Did his tune switch you over to "speed density" instead of the MAF system? You say the car idles smoother.. Just curious...
  12. Frustrating that you dealer can"t solve the issue. You may want to contact Porsche and convey your problem.. That is too new a car to have an annoying rattle. I would insist that it gets repaired by the dealer. Even if they have to install a whole new freakin dash. It's THEIR problem...You shouldn't have to be trouble shooting it yourself.. When I have issues with my dealer I annoy them to the point that they just want me to go away....And they know I won't go away until they fix my issue. Good luck.. I hope you get it sorted
  13. I will PM you.. :king:
  14. I don't believe so. Completely different engine than the Mezger in your car. If you want to upgrade your clutch look at the sachs 2.5. Will hold up to 700hp..Feels very similar to stock as well..
  15. Looking forward to seeing your data..
  16. Great post.. I love it...
  17. I'm sorry but what is a 997T2? Do you mean a 997-2 TT? Is it a Carrera? Whatever it is it's still under warranty.. Why don't you let the dealer take a look at it?
  18. Those are amazing!! A white GT3...That is may favorite. Great job... It looks like a cup car!!!!
  19. Awesome.. That is usually the culprit..
  20. Beautiful car.. As others said.. A rare find indeed... Congrats and enjoy!
