  1. The ECU flash and exhaust will give you the most bang for your dollar. May I ask why you're hesitant to flash the ECU? You don't need to change the boost hoses unless they need replacing. The silicone hoses certainly will not give you more power. The diverter valves are an improvement but again you won't see a lot of HP gains. If I were you I would call one of the best Porsche tuner shops in London and see what they suggest. Enjoy you new toy! :drive:
  2. Wow Daniel! So many Porsches! :notworthy: Enjoy the 997. I had one and loved it..
  3. Be careful not to hit yourself in the face when pulling it off! Ask me how I know lol! :cursing:
  4. I'm suprised that no one has replied to your issue. I personally don't have any advice for you but I'm sure someone here can help you. This reply will put you back at the top of the cue. Hopefully a member will chime in and help you out..
  5. I heard if you shop around you can get one for 2.5 million.. :jump:
  6. On my 2006 Carrera S my PSE was activated by the "Sport" button. I believe there are other options though when you have it installed post factory... Good luck selling the Tubi exhaust Eddie. You should be able to sell it quick on E Bay...
  7. Wow that is really sad to hear. Why do people even bother being in business? More and more I'm finding that the Aftermarket Porsche arena is waste of time and money. One of the only companies that I have dealt with that seem to really have it together are Evoms. Really helpful and very quality products. I have wasted thousands on crap fron supposed "Porsche Experts". Crappy parts. Lousy engineering and horrible customer service, Vivid is the worst. Hopefully TPC will just go out of business and leave us alone...
  8. I would think you could drive it. A faulty engine mount will not strand you. Sounds like a likely suspect...
  9. Cant you contact the company for help?
  10. Try Evoms. They have a Brembo slotted rotor kit for the track.. The kit comes with the calipers as well which you don't need. Call them and see if the rotors will work with your calipers and if they sell the rotors seperately.. http://www.evoms.com/marketplace/ViewProduct.asp?Now=10%2F27%2F2011+9%3A47%3A28+AM&ProductID=%7B10024E09%2D3968%2D4AF4%2D8483%2D3A3EF5F7B172%7D&OrgID=%7BCA5E16BC%2DD877%2D4137%2D8237%2D7EB9084DD3D8%7D&ParentID=%7B8E60B002%2D1104%2D42BD%2D9CFC%2DC00881D9848C%7D&Curr=%7B8E60B002%2D1104%2D42BD%2D9CFC%2DC00881D9848C%7D
  11. Your car looks amazing! What a great write up! More pictures please!
  12. Sorry to hear that Eddie. I have heard some pretty bad stories about the Tubi. A lot of people don't like the sound yet they are very popular. Go figure. I think the PSE is till the best sound on a 997..
  13. Could possibly be your ignition switch as well. They can make all kinds of strange things happen. Try giggling your key when turning on your lights. If you get no reaction the at least you can rule it out..
  14. Very reliable daily driver. Maintenance costs are quite low. Oil change $120 (from an Indie..A dealer will charge you $250!), Oil changes are a bit pricey because of the 9 liters of oil required. Major services come at 20k mile intervals. That usually includes spark plugs, filters, belts ect. This can be as much as $15OO from a dealer or $700 to $800 from an indie. Or if you are mechaically inclined about $300 to $400 if you want to do everything your self. Never go to the dealer for maintenance (unless it's warranty work.) Find a good indie for maintenance. My dealer got so mad at me for taking my car to an indie for oil changes etc. That he said that they would match the indies prices! There are SOME good dealers out there As for being tall I couldn't say. But I wouldn't think 6'1 would be a problem. No you can't run 87 octane gas. Oh and get the Cayman S. Huge difference. If possible try to get a Porsche CPO (certified pre owned) car. The best warranty (which you will want. Warranties are good... ) Look at lots of cars and be patient. High end cars aren't moving too well right now so it's a good time to shop. Good luck..
  15. Excellent! I love happy endings.. :jump:
  16. Number 4 for me as well..
  17. Go for the 09 997-2. Totally agree with Tcouture.. Lots of pluses with the 997-2..
  18. Agreed.. That mileage is nothing for a Turbo...Here is a picture from another member here..
  19. I can"t see the pictures. Might be my computer at work...
  20. 12 Porsches! That is awesome. Enjoy your 997 S.. I had the same car and loved it!
  21. Yes Dani, Call Duane at Vision Motorsports. They do good work and are honest. Good luck!
