  1. Hmmm.......Might want to check your engine compartment light as well as your boot light. Make sure they are going off as they should. You may just want to remove the bulbs as one of your troubleshooting processes..
  2. You may want to look into the Bridgestone RE-11's. They are quiet, have great grip in dry and wet (street) and are relatively inexpensive (compared to the Pilots). Here is a pic of the fronts on my Turbo. I would buy them again and I have had the Michelins.
  3. Cool. Nice job. Had plenum on my old 3.4 996 and I loved it..
  4. I think it's funny that 911 owners (especially C4 owners) expect to get mote than 10k miles out of their rear tires. I'm on my fourth Porsche and they have all been the same. 10k on the rears and maybe around 15k on the fronts. I just replaced my RE-11 Brigestones on the rear of my Turbo after 9k miles and they were COMPLETELY bald.. That's just the way it is..(unless you drive like a wuss) you're going to spend money on tires.. Hankook, Michelin, Bridgestone, Pirelli whatever....I'm talking steet use only.. I drive the S*** out of my car (everyday) by the way...
  5. I don't think you will need any mods besides the CPU file.. Are they (the engines) the same year? Others here with more Boxster experience should chime in if I'm wrong..
  6. Hmmmm. Actually is a pretty great idea.. Is it "pre-cut" or did you engineer it yourself? I have had much of my interior CF replaced in my Turbo under warranty (thank God.)
  7. Wow it's awesome! I love the wheels... The right wheels on a Panamera make s SUCH A HUGE difference in the look of the car.. Body kit is sweet as well. Congrats and finally we have a Panamera post! Woo Hoo!!!! :jump:
  8. Wow... Great Thread.. You rock brother...
  9. Yes Dntlvet... I need to do something. I have had the car about a year and a half now. It needs something new. My attention span is about as long as my terriers.. :king: Typically at this point I would trade it in and get another car. But I love the car so much..What P car would I upgrade to? Another Turbo? A GT3? No...... So I will give it a bit of a facelift.. I have always wanted my car to sound like it should. Looks like the guys at BBI finally figured it out.. In a few months I will get their exhaust and other goodiess and a tune. Then I will sell the Techart exhaust I have now.. (which is a great exhaust BTW.) Can't wait...
  10. The big problem with aftermarket parts is that almost NONE come with instructions. I would contact Tech Art. Then if that doesn"t work have a good tech install them for you.
  11. Search engine swaps.. This has been covered many many times.. Good luck..
  12. I have driven the Cayman S and I have to say I LOVED it. Incredibly nimble and lots of power. Congrats on the new cars,
  13. agreed.. Don't waste your money on headers..
  14. Agreed. That sound of those turbos spooling up makes me smile.. :jump: I like those lime green calipers too. I have on;y seen those on a Lambo.. Never a Porsche
  15. Take a look at this Turbo S. It was prepared by BBI Autosport in Huntington Beach CA. After I saw this video I said "I want my car to sound like that!" It's really a beautiful car.. I spoke to Betim that is co owner. When my warranty is up in 6 months I'm going to get their exhaust, GT2 RS intercoolers and an ECU tune. Check it out...
  16. Davao City ? Talaga? I spent a lot of time in the Philippines... What's it like driving your Turbo there? Where and when do you drive it? Only very early in the morning I bet... I agree with you on the flash and the exhaust.. Worth every penny..
  17. Man... This post makes me happy that I have Turbo and don't have to think about this. But to chime in I have to agree with the others. Go with what has proven itself... Simple "risk / reward" analysis points to LNE.. :lightbulb:
  18. Did you know that post was 6 years old?? Just sayin...
  19. You have to love dealers. They just hope that you're stupid enough....
  20. 997 wheels will work on a 996
  21. Nice offer my friend.. Hopefully someone wil take you up on it..
  22. try to find a used muffler for that side.. There are a lot around for the 997-1..
  23. Please see this link. http://www.renntech.org/forums/topic/40376-looking-to-buy-new-exhaustwant-something-catless-loud-any-suggestions/page__fromsearch__1 Only more power very top end. And you will lose drivability and low end torque. It sounds horrible unless you like your beautiful Porsche to sound like a rice burner. Dont do it. My opinion. I did it and hated it..
