  1. Lots of threads here on oil... Do a search and you will find heated debates... :P You should be able to have all the information you will need to make a decision......
  2. Nobody? Nothing? Where are my suspension guru's when I need them? :lightbulb:
  3. 2006 S with PSE.... I love it on all the time.... :clapping:
  4. Gentlemen, I would really like to lower my car about a half an inch. I don't want to go the aftermarket route (H & R etc.) and cannot afford the Bilstein set up. I don't want to compromise the functionality the PASM and "Sport" settings. Does Porsche offer a spring that will lower my car to Euro spec? Also is Euro spec about a half inch? Thanks... :renntech:
  5. Lane, Wross was not talking about your product... He was talking about another product on E Bay. In fact when I was on your website Wross has a review that raves about your Carbon pieces. :clapping: Just wanted to clear that up...
  6. Pardon my ignorance but LSD kit??? Please tell me that doesn't mean "Lambo Style Doors" does it?? :o
  7. Another reason I don't like Mobil 1 is their containers are too big
  8. And to make sure that it's leaking at all.. :o Dealers love to replace RMS seals under warranty B) Porsche pays through the nose for it and they won't question an RMS failure.
  9. Is your car still under warranty? If so take it to the dealer and let them sort it out. Hopefully someone will chime in on some other trouble shooting suggestions..
  10. I'm certainly no engine builder but if it was me I would replace them all.. You'll never have a better opportunity ;) By the way I can't wait for your next update on your site..
  11. Awesome pictures!! :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:
  12. Sale date if the car was new when Purchased. Take it to the dealer if you are still under warranty
  13. Walk away and find another car. Too many great 996's out there to deal with this one Good luck
  14. Wow an oil thread with no swearing and no fights!!! Just intelligent discussion... And they said it couldn't be done.........
  15. Be patient and allow people to see and answer your post
  16. Go to this link and regsiter to see the video. http://www.racingflix.com It's in the "road racing" section. Check out the "GT3 996 chasing GT3 997" video right below it as well. What a track that is! It's so awsome and both drivers have skills
  17. Here is an interesting take on the whole Mobil 1 controversy. Found this on another board. This is a gentleman who writes about lubricants..... ExxonMobil sponsor this site, and I have to believe that more than a few of their managers/executives read it as well. We are, after all, a good representation of their target market for high performance synthetic oils, and our opinions reach far beyond this site as we talk to our friends and neighbors. It would be nice if they could step in here with some specific comments or explanations for our observations on their oil's performance - not the party line marketing fluff about being number one and trusted by top OEMs, but a head-on addressing of our wear concerns. Hundreds of UOAs posted here show a trend of higher iron content, and several of their top competitors have publicly accused them of having higher wear rates than other similar products. As a long time M-1 user, this is enough to raise my eyebrows and seek an explanation, which I am not getting from them or the endless speculation and theories tossed around here. I think it would be to their benefit to talk to their customers, rather than continue to allow us to possibly misinterpret their silence. As a former oil marketing executive I understand the safety of silence, but I also understand the importance of communicating with customers in an open and honest manner when it comes to real and relevant concerns. For the first time in 10 years I am beginning to lose faith in M1 and seriously considering changing brands. I really don't want to change, but I prefer to do business with companies who value their customer's opinions and concerns. Unfortunately, modern management teachings attempt to reduce business to a series of mathmetical formulations rather than good old fashioned customer relationships. Size is no excuse for being out of touch with the people who buy your product. Tom NJ
  18. Additionally, no GT3 will come close to beating a C6 Z06, even after a 1/4 mile. You must have been dreaming about that TV show, or watching The Twighlightezone. :P A 997 GT3 will beat the Z06 and the BMW M3, M5 and M6 and the Audi R8 (V8 version.) They raced all these cars at an Airport (I think in Finland.) the races were not from a standing start. You can look for them on You Tube. "Top Gear" raced the first gen 997 GT3 against the V8 BMW M3 and the Audi R8 (v8) from a standing start. The GT3 won handily in a straight line (both cars) and ever more dramatically on the track. No he wasn't dreaming
  19. It`s very liberal for you to call gang members 'kids'. Those "kids" place is to be hanged on a nearby tree. :( :lightbulb:
  20. Phillip - sounds like you need to fnd a new dealer! (you actually met the head mechanic at my local dealer last year in Ventura when we were talking to Charles Navarro) Geoff, I don't trust any dealer from anywhere. They are all snakes..I know more about my car than the guys who work on it. It was the same when I owned BMW's and BENZ's. They all s**k. Other than that I don't have an opinion... B)
