  1. Spark plugs or brake fluid will not trigger a service light but will display a check engine light(amber) if there is a misfire and a red brake warning light if there is a hydraulic failure or low fluid level. Low brake pads will display a amber warning.
  2. I would have all the wheels inspected by a repair shop. They can then advise you on the best route for repair.
  3. Plugging a tire alters it's speed rating and it also depends how far away from the sidewall the plug is. I would plug a tire as a stop gap but replace it asap.
  4. I'm not sure what the coating is for but I believe it's just cosmetic. I have removed the cracked and peeling bits before and have had no problems to date.
  5. Has the AOS ever been replaced? The part has been updated and I would change it out. Easy DIY project and loads of write-ups on here for the procedure.
  6. Both conditions are normal. The engine oil temp has to get over 80C to start to burn off the moisture suspended in it. The noise is most likely a hydrualic lifter that has bleed down. Keep an eye on things just to make sure it's nothing more serious.
  7. How long has it been since you sent the request?
  8. Thanks for getting back to us. I'll try and post some pics of these drains.
  9. Replace the switch. Cheap and easy to change out as they have a very high failure rate.
  10. Try and record the noise then post it. Hopefully we can figure something out.
  11. Did you have this code before you cleaned the sensors? I would clear the code and fault trace if the fault returns.
  12. I've never seen anything. Why does your shifter have play? Of the 997's I have driven I thought the shifter was very good.
  13. Erase the code and if it returns then fault trace the problem, but it sounds like the O2 sensor is slow to respond and will need replacing. Often recommend to replace units in pairs.
  14. If the noise doesn't change I wouldn't worry about it, sounds like a hydraulic lifter bleeding down over night.
  15. What is the condition and level of the transmission fluid? How many miles?
  16. It is common to skip/lurch at high steering angles due to the front differential. Maybe this is what your experiencing.
  17. Follow mudman2 advice and replace all the coils and plugs with the newest updated parts. I would first check for any fault codes and post them here.
  18. LOL.... very good. Thanks for posting.
  19. Does operating the A/C compressor make any change?
  20. The key must be cut to your lock code. The remote fob/immobilizer must be programmed by the dealer to your vehicle.
  21. Your best to search online as there is loads of info and FAQ's about this model. There are just too many areas to cover. Where are you located? Ask around at your local Porsche Club if possible.
  22. No check engine light or any other odd issues happening?
  23. It should be the same for all models.
  24. In the first pic that hose looks like it might be leaking from the compression fitting and if that is the case then it's best to replace the complete line. I would still recommend washing off the area to verify the source.
  25. If it is low on fluid you top it off using Pentosin 11S or 202, it's the same fluid used for the P/S. Be sure not to overfill it.
