  1. If it cranks and runs now with the steel keys it should after the battery replacement. I have only change the battery in one Cayenne with the entry and go system and had no problems with the system after that I recall. Hopefully RFM will chime in as he has loads more knowledge then myself on these systems.
  2. VAG or RossTech VAG COM can't be used on the Cayenne, it can cause false faults or the CAN-BUS to lock up.
  3. Those look like VW part numbers. The Cayenne and Touareg shared many components.
  4. If you are able to communicate with other control module then it sounds like a module fault. I'll have a read through some info and post any other ideas that might come to mind.
  5. Could you post the codes. There are several control modules and the exact codes will help us to pinpoint the problem.
  6. I just remove it form the engine side and swivel it up out of the way. Sorry I can't remember the size of the multi-point bit needed for removal.
  7. It could be normal. Perhaps the variable valve timing or intake is coming into play.
  8. There has been a TSB issued for seat belt buckle update and also a update to a newer version air bag control module. Some people have had luck in cleaning the electrical connectors for the buckles with contact cleaner but it has never worked in the long run for myself.
  9. Do a quick search on the forum and you'll find many answers to your questions.
  10. Not recommened to use high pressure washers.
  11. Near the top of the page is a link for "Porsche Parts at Dealer Cost-Sunset Imports". Give them a call for a price.
  12. How much oil? You'll always find oil in the intake down stream of the throttle body, it's the amount that is of concern.
  13. Inspect the coolant pipes running under the intake manifold. Any warrantry on the vehicle?
  14. Remove it with the transaxle. After you remove the convertor bolts, push the convertor towards the transmission to release it from the crankshaft dowel.
  15. As suggested I would first bridge the clutch switch.
  16. If the engine will crank but not run then I don't think push starting the vehicle will help. A fuse can be at fault if it powers the fuel or DME/ignition circuits. Any chance you can read the codes?
  17. Welcome to the forum. I wouldn't replace anything unless the code returns and then check all the values from there. I have cleaned many MAF sensors and in the end always had to replace them so I don't recommend cleaning them at all.
  18. The check engine light is triggered by the setting of engine emission codes. Codes have different parameters for being set and then triggering the check engine light. If the fault parameters are not met in the next drive cycle the check engine light may be extinguished. Get the codes read again. Double check all the connections as they connectors are easy to damage.
  19. The extraction pump is not the main oil pressure pump, it remove excess oil from the cylinder head area and returns it to the main sump for the pressure pump. Oil pressure changes with engine temp so I think you have nothing to worry about.
  20. Air Oil Separator. Search on the forums and you'll find many post about the subject.
  21. Spark plug tube O-rings?
  22. Does the engine crank or won't fire up? How did you check the fuses? It's best to use a test light to check the fuse as just looking at them you can sometimes miss the spot where the fuse has failed.
  23. Inspect all the serpentine belt idlers/rollers when changing the belt.
  24. You really need a scan tool to sort these transmissions out or it's all guess work.
  25. The ALDL connector is located on the right side of the cabin near the steering column under the dash area.
