  1. If it's not suffering from RPM flare up between shifts, doesn't worsen over time and reduces the shift shock when hot then I wouldn't worry about it. Easy first step is to inspect the condition of the engine/transaxle mounts.
  2. How long will that light bulb last? There is no way to tell. If it's making noise then it should be considered a failed component and replace straight away.
  3. It's best to replace the switch. If you did manage to clean it the contact area is worn and it will only be a poor stop gap until in the end you'll need to replace the unit.
  4. That is the air quality sensor for the climate control.
  5. Interesting. It looks like there is a TSB on this issue but I couldn't find one released yet. Glad you got it sorted.
  6. Perhaps you broke one of the vacuum leaks near the intake when the coils were changed out.
  7. There are several faults that could be at issue. As Loren stated, you need to have the fault code read and post them on here. Please post the year and model of your vehicle.
  8. As stated it depends on the fault. If the check engine light is on it's ok to drive, but if it's flashing get it towed. Does it not have warranty? Let them sort it out.
  9. No known issues that I know of. The older engine had water pump and coolant pipes that run under the intake manifold faults. Please post details of the repair to help us learn of these new faults. I hope it's something simple.
  10. Check the part number to verify that it is the correct clutch disc for your vehicle. I would guess there also damage to the transaxle input shaft.
  11. If you feel the local guy is "kind slick" then go with your gut and shy away from him. I personally would ask him if he can prove that he has experience working on the Cayenne coolant pipes, if he can't then let the dealer sort it out. You don't need him "learning" on your vehicle.
  12. I assume the battery is ok.
  13. If the correct oil was used by the previous owner you shouldn't need to flush it as synthetic oils have a high detergent level.
  14. You might be able to release the locking arm for the head light assembly if you remove the fender liner. I have never seen the Cayennes break before but it's very common on the Touareg.
  15. Search the forum as there has been a few people to heat the head light assembly in an oven to remove the front lenz.
  16. Will it play an audio CD?
  17. I had an Audi once that would apply the front brakes after 20km's or so of driving and was the master cylinder at fault.
  18. 'Tis a great forum and I continue to learn something everyday from all the knowledgeable people on here. Have a great new year everyone.
  19. Relax. We are trying to help so calm down on the attitude a little. I think RFM has it-check the fuel pressure regulator as it needs to have intake vacuum to operate.
  20. I don't know what you are asking. Can you post a pic? The check valve goes from the intake manifold to the "Y" connector. What are you referring to as the left side of what component? On the above pic the right side of the check valve( item 22) goes to the intake manifold.
  21. Part number 99660641000 seems to be the original number and still valid, can you expand on your comment? TIA Sorry I might be getting confused with the Touareg. There was a updated temp sensor to resolve this issue on the V8's.
  22. I believe there was a updated part for the coolant temp sensor to correct this issue.
  23. That's the idle speed motor and does not operate the main throttle plate. Retrace all your steps to see if you missed anything.
