  1. The cooling fan relay module was also updated to a different part number if I remember correctly.
  2. Remove the head light assembly and inspect the electrical connectors for damage. Sounds like a faulty ground path and the act of R&R the assembly often sorts things out.
  3. Are you sure you had the correct switch on the pedal assembly? Try bridging the switch and see if lights operate.
  4. Be sure that the cooling fans are coming on.
  5. Durametric does not program modules but it can turn on or off some convenience feature like day time running lights. It can read alarm codes but not clear them and can't add keys to the vehicle.
  6. It's a power train code but I think your missing a digit, every P code I've seen has four numbers. Sorry could you also post the model year and such information about your vehicle.
  7. Those NGK's must be something if they give twice the performance!!
  8. Result... glad you got it sorted and thanks for posting your findings.
  9. Yes a broken oil fill tube will cause a CEL. It's best to find a garage with a smoke machine to trace vacuum leaks.
  10. If the rubber sleeves are at fault you can remove them without lowering the engine. You just need to remove the throttle body mount.
  11. Remove the plastic cover over the expansion tank bleed valve for inspection. You have to remove the coolant and oil fill caps to remove the cover. You have an oil temp gauge? I would be worried about the low oil pressure warning light coming on- have you checked the oil level? What did the coolant temp read?
  12. I personally wouldn't worry about it but as a buyer you're spoilt for choice. I also think the price quote is high and would recommend using a indy garage that is familiar with these vehicles.
  13. I don't think it can be done, you can change the programming for the remote to open one or all doors(on the OBC) but not alter the sequence at the door lock buttons.
  14. Durametric is the best aftermarket scan tool for Porsche.
  15. It happened to me the other day. I'm running Safari 4.0.5 on a Mac PowerBook. It only happened over a few hour period and all is back to normal again.
  16. Sorry I couldn't find reference to that code. If there are no fault codes and the vehicle appears to be running well then I wouldn't worry about it. After the readiness codes are set and all adaption values reached the code might clear on it's own.
  17. I know Parts Source sells a good universal kit as well as Canadian Tire. The kits are easy to install and come with good instructions.
  18. I have been in the automotive repair trade for many years and the only spark plugs I have had problems with are NGK so I never recommend them if possible. I have heard of some reports with Bosch but have never seen any real data on the faults just internet reports. Stick with the OEM and you shouldn't have any problems.
  19. Remove your DRL relay and install a universal DRL module which you can wire into what ever lights you choose. Your local parts store should carry the kits.
  20. Why did you replace the turbo... were you having this fault code before replacement?
  21. I would get a second opinion as to the repair.
  22. Search on the forum for Durametric, it's software that can emulate many of the features of the Porsche scan tools
  23. Durametric can turn the lights on or have a universal day time running light module installed.
  24. I have never seen it done. What has failed on your top? Most repairs are not that expensive but you don't give the year of your vehicle.
