  1. The first thing I would try is to calibrate the throttle adaption. You can try disconnecting the ground cable located near the left front seat ( with the ignition key removed ) for a few minutes, reconnect it and then turn the ignition key to position 2 without starting the engine and leave it on for approx 1 minute. Shut the key off then start the engine and see if that helps.
  2. If you want a turbo, buy the one Porsche made.
  3. It's not a common leak, the seal can be purchased as a single item and I would consider it easy to replace. It's a rather straightforward.
  4. Give it a slight twist but it should just pull right out.
  5. Is there a drivability problem with the vehicle that you're concerned about this?
  6. No light comes on but you can hear the door close and the fan noise changes pitch.
  7. It is part of the latch assembly. You can test it using the Porsche scan tool.
  8. I've spoken to Durametric several times over the years in regard to these problems on the Cayenne models and was told they are concentrating on the other Porsche model so the Cayenne is on the back burner for the time being.
  9. So your post was to let everyone know that a key works to lock/unlock your car? I'll have to try that on mine...... Do you have a step by step with pics?
  10. I've had that code when the blower motor fails.... have you verified that the blower isn't the problem?
  11. Are you sure you only have one battery? There has also been some issues with the ground cable connection located near the left seat/floor pan.
  12. I've have the door card apart in the past but can't recall details about the speakers. I'll search through my pics and post any that might help.
  13. There is a coolant manifold at the rear of the engine which contains the thermostat and coolant temp sensor, it's made up of several pieces and recommend changing them all in one go. It's not easy to replace and most of the work is done blind.
  14. I've been rear-ended in my Cayenne five times already....... Best of luck with the insurance company and hopefully nobody was injured.
  15. Been covered before on the site, some have had plug and play and other poor luck.
  16. You can easily chip away that part of the coil, I've had them break before and used a steel punch and hammer to break away the remainder coil and then compressed air.
  17. Toyo's observe series of stud less tires are very good.
  18. There are several micro switches located in the latch assembly so that unit has probably failed.
  19. Those are the drains for the front cowl, you might have a with the sunroof drain or tubes and that will cause water to collect in the interior on the drivers/passenger floor area, also inspect the drain for the climate control box. All of this has been covered on the site before and a quick search should clear things up.
  20. Loren is correct, that is a common point.
  21. It's odd that it only occurs at idle.... maybe injector not operating correctly?
  22. Ive opened front doors before when the mechanism has failed by removing the rear doors ( very easy to do ), you can then access the area and using a small cut off disc to cut through the latch plate attached to the "B" pillar. You then need to bend the latch slightly and it will slip through the mechanism in the door catch and the door will open with only damage to the latch plate which can be repaired by welding or the replacement part is inexpensive.
  23. I use a dental pick to gently bend the fuse contact terminals together.
