  1. Brake rotor backing plate hitting rotor? They can easily be bent and contact the rotor.
  2. Carefully inspect the wiring harness for water damage at the gearbox.
  3. All looks to be in order, those units were past due for their service life.
  4. Can someone explain how a failed engine mount can cause an idle issue/surge? Have you smoke tested the system for leaks? Throttle body issue?
  5. If you can get the part number off the module in question? That would be the best why to find it's correct description. I very much doubt you have a module failing but more of a wiring harness fault due to water migration. Have you inspected the wiring harnesses that run down both sides of the door sill areas?
  6. I was warned by Owen at Durametric not to use vagcom on porsche as it can cause can bus faults and display false codes.
  7. First thing to check is the battery/batteries and charging system.
  8. Sorry I've not heard of this fault before. Isn't the vehicle still covered under warranty?
  9. All the brands you list are good quality, just be sure to properly pack the new units with proper grease and set the brng preload.
  10. I've installed that brand many many times over the years without issue.... everything from mounts to steering/suspension components.
  11. In regards to the gearbox fault you'll need to check the system for fault codes. Now to the second issue.... chances are the sunroof drain tubes have become dislodged and are draining into the cabin via the A pillars which might also be causing your gearbox issue. There are several wiring harnesses that run along the door sill area and the gounds are easily corroded from moisture when the drains give issues. You'll need to lower the front of the head liner and check the drain tubes then pull up the floor lining and inspect the wiring.
  12. The flex coupler is very robust unit, just check it signs of cracking. I driveshaft will be complete with the centre support bring assembly.
  13. There is an main fuse located in the left fuse block, it's a big ATO style fuse rated at 40 amps I think. Check the owners manual for details.
  14. Have the pressure in the system check and the climate control scanned for fault codes.
  15. No need to replace the boot unless it's damaged. I use a laser level to mark the shafts in a few locations to be sure it goes back together indexed correctly.
  16. Sharp looking motor. Congrats.
  17. Search Tirerack.com , they will have actual owners ratings of different tires that may answer some of your questions.
  18. Not familiar with A0907, I would suggest you scan all modules to see if it shows up anywhere else. Sometimes a transmission or gateway fault will show in the DME and won't clear until you address the module it pertains to.
  19. I've not tried to change the coding and might be best to contact Durametric for advice.
  20. No kits to replace with steel coils that I'm aware of. The system in the cayenne has been very reliable where I live and we have temperature swings from -40C to +40C.
  21. What fault codes are you getting? Any recent history of engine misfires? I have seen many many cats misdiagnosed and failure in the cayennes is rare let alone both at the same time.
