  1. Also be sure the drains are clear and there is no water/rotting leaves and such in the front cowl area. You can also buy a dedicated spray to deodorize the evaporator core.
  2. Welcome to the forum. Inspect the lower control arm rear bushings.
  3. There are several coolant hose junctions that could explain the intermittent leak, a close inspection should find the problem. I suggest getting this sorted asap and not to continue the drive the vehicle as you don't want to risk over heating this engine.
  4. Easy? It's easy to me but I've no idea on your ability.
  5. Are you sure it's not trapped water in a body panel, front cowl or climate control box?
  6. Inspect the steering rack. Best wash the area off it is P/S fluid as it can damage paints/plastics and most rubbers.
  7. Inspect the motor/transmission mount and also the exhaust mounts and pipes that they haven't contact the body anywhere.
  8. A weak battery can cause many odd effects on these vehicle so have that checked first then the system checked for fault codes.
  9. Follow the instructions in the owners manual about removing the upper shifter cover to gain access to the shifter interlock mechanism. That should at least give you line of sight to see if the shifter cable has broken at the upper connection, then inspect the connection at the gearbox. Apply the parking brake as a safety measure.
  10. LED's can't pass current so it's probably a resistor block. Any chance you can open it?
  11. If you have access to a scan tool, verify that the ambient and cabin temp sensors are within limits. You can also check the limit positions of the heat blend door servo motors but it would be very odd for both to fail in the same manner so check common items such as the temp sensors.
  12. Are you sure about there being a second battery? I thought Porsche did away with this circa 2006 and the second batteries I have seen are the same size as the main battery which is massive. Any chance you could post a pic of it?
  13. Won't even attempt to explain it but touch wood it stays working.
  14. If you unplug the air quality sensor(located near the brake master cylinder under the plastic cowl cover) and be sure the recirculating button is off and not on automatic then the door should stop cycling. If not then you need to reset the servo motor limits as the next step which requires the proper scan tool.
  15. They did offer a manual gearbox in the Cayenne but if a clutch is failing it usually gets worse and doesn't work sometimes then slip others. I personally would get rid of the tune and retest with the factory set up.

  17. There are charging ports in the engine compartment to hook a proper charger up to.
  18. The spark actually travels onto the white ceramic then to the ground electrode. It's said to keep the plug cleaner with less chance of fouling.
  19. I've no idea what is causing that noise. Is it possible for you to view the torque convertor when the noise is occurring and see if it's vibrating? Not only must the convertor be centered but also supported via the crankshaft to some degree.

  21. Yes it's probably the fan, best to just replace it. Did you inspect the cabin filter?
  22. Check for fault code first but I'd suspect the main fuel pump might be at fault.
  23. Not common but known to happen. It's a very easy DIY and change the cabin filter at the same time.
