  1. What gallon are you using? Any long periods of idle? Is the transmission going into high gear and operating correctly? If there was a sensor problem it should trigger a fault code within two drive cycles. I assume the check engine is working and you've checked for faults.
  2. Not sure about 2008 and newer but the older model needed the dealer tool or durametric to activate the lights.
  3. How are you calculating the MPG? Are you using premium fuel? Are the tire pressures correct?
  4. Lucky for you the procedure for checking it has been covered here a million times. Just search the site.
  5. The fluid type is Pentosin 11S or 202
  6. Do you have access to a wiring diagram? It has to be a power supply fault or open wire. I assume all the fuses are good.
  7. Have the dealer check for a software update or and codes but it could be a fault in the light assembly which will be replaced as a complete unit due to LEDs.
  8. Are you saying there are control units actually missing from the vehicle? I would clear all codes and retest including checking all fuses/ circuit breakers if the vehicle has been in an accident. Could you provide some details of the vehicle history? Did you purchase it from salvage?
  9. Did you have any of these issues before all the after market products were put on?
  10. You've posted in the Cayenne section, you might get more responses in the 986 section. The dealer didn't give advice as to what may the problem? Did the module programing go ok with no issues? I assume the battery has been tested.
  11. Any details on the wiring problem? It may be of help to others in the future.
  12. 1/8" over filled isn't a great amount, I wouldn't worry about it.
  13. You can replace the big end bushing and that's often the one that fails.
  14. There is a junction point under the vehicle on the right side near the engine thats prone to corrosion and can cause a voltage drop.
  15. The right side fuel pump is only on at certain times and never runs full time. Are you sure the cross over pipes to equalize fuel level on each side of the tank are fitted correctly? What is the fuel level in the left side pump module at 1/4 tank?
  16. At the automotive repair shop we won't use Amsoil products but in the end it's your money.
  17. It's not just a simple as dropping the pan to replace the gasket. There are many many other places these engine leak oil that is more common then the oil pan. I would have it looked at by someone experienced with these engines.
  18. Even though the bulb is lit it might not have the impedance or current draw needed for the circuit so it's recommended to replace the bulb, clear codes and retest.
  19. Regardless of battery age it could still have failed so you need to have it tested. Just a note: you don't have a ignition switch in the regular term but a start control module.
  20. The plug could be for the CD changer or trailer control module. Black plastic pull ring is the manual way to open the fuel door.
  21. I have seen more then enough spark plugs seized in cylinder heads but only on high milage vehicles so I wouldn't worry about it.
  22. In your picture the back of the panel is supposed to engage the rectangle shaped area on the cross member. If the tab is broken off it will need to be replaced.
