  1. If the shaft was the problem it should be doing it all the time, not intermittent, speed can play a factor but it is also consistent. Have you inspected the front lower rear control arm bushings or any engine mounts?
  2. There is only one fan so the fan speed will be the same for both the passenger and drivers side, only the temperature setting can be altered.
  3. No easy way that I know of but you can have the headlights programmed on as the DTRL so whenever the ignition is on the headlights will be also regardless of switch position. Another option is to install a universal DTRL kit and wire it into the fog light circuit. Durametric can turn on the DTRL function.
  4. What is the part number on the trailer control module in the vehicle? It's located in the right rear storage compartment just forward of where the CD changer is mounted.
  5. Nothing to reprogram if battery is replaced. Best check all fuses or have the systems checked for fault codes.
  6. Use a high quality contact cleaner that is silicone free.
  7. I'm not offend at all. I'm here to learn just like most who visit this site and I certainly don't know everything.
  8. Sorry I can't be of much help, I've only worked on this system once and it turned out to be a faulty control solenoid.
  9. Thats not normal at all. Any other odd issues happening? Any battery/charging system issues? You need to access the transmission and Electrical/KESSY module for fault codes. The KESSY module controls the ground path for the Terminal relay which powers that circuit.
  10. The search function works well. I just used it found 5 pages of post with others who had Cayenne brake questions/repair/part number requests. I know for a fact your questions would have been answered as they have been asked before. The best advice to give was to use the search function, how is that being rude? Why pollute the forum with repeated posts?
  11. Learning is what this site is all about and I know that I have learnt many many things from my time here. I also have Rosstech and it will not work on the Cayenne and have been told by Rosstech that attempts to try can cause can bus issues. Durametric is the best option by far.
  12. With both those models costing way more than the Durametric enthusiast version, the choice would seem obvious.............. That's very true but you said that only the PIWIS or Durametric would clear it as nothing else would work which isn't true. I was offer a different choice that maybe a local garage might have if he was shopping around.

  14. All launch models share the basic software but different hardware packages. I've used both the Diagun and GDS to reset the service lights. The scanners can provide some data that Durametric can't but they are not as users friendly as Durametric. Launch customer service is awful where as Durametric is excellent.
  15. Your fuel tank volume should be 100 litres and the reserve light come on at apporx 90 km's to empty which is to be taken with a grain of salt. Are you filling at the same pump each time? What if you fill the tank slowly?
  16. Check engine light and service reminder are two different events. Launch also has scan tools that can reset the service reminders. As for the check engine lights, it's something I wouldn't ignore and you'll need to have the DME scanned for fault codes and interpreted. Do not operate the vehicle if the check engine light is flashing on and off.

  18. Interesting. I have never heard of this before. I know several people with air suspension and never been an issue unlike the MB,BMW or worse of all the LR.
  19. A lot of odd issues, it sounds more like a wiring issue. Have you had any issues with water migration or inspected the DME connectors and ground points?
  20. Inspect the fuse for the coils pack for that bank, they can corrode or overheat and cause intermittent contact points, it's easy enough to replace the fuse and inspect the contacts for tension. I would also monitor the camshaft positions when these issues are occurring.
  21. Chances are the DTRL are turned on. You can turn that feature off with your durametric.
  22. Although you cleaned the throttle body did you reset it's adaption?
  23. Any steering fault warnings in the main display? First step is confirm state of battery.
  24. That's interesting, have you tried turning the steering wheel light buttons on and off again? I've never heard of this fault before.
