  1. I would suggest that it's a internal fault in the radio. Check Ebay for a replacement unit.
  2. That is a pressure sender unit in the pic.
  3. It's a engine mount. If you look closely at the attached pic it's seems to be coming from the internal area of the mount. And as already pointed out replace in pairs.
  4. Congrats on the new motor..... be sure to post pics asap.
  5. It's really best to drive as many examples of the 987 as you can to get the measure of the vehicle. Opinions on the internet vary so much and what I consider a harsh/rough ride might be just right for yourself. Best of luck in your search.
  6. Ummm... whats the "Air Lift" system?
  7. Are you measuring the output voltage from your vehicle or from the device? I know of no automotive vehicles that use over 13v output to operate accessories. Test your meter across the battery terminals to verify the meter... should read about 12.5 volts without the engine running and approx 13.5-14v running depending on loads conditions.
  8. Hopefully someone with Boxster know how can chime in. I have seen hubs with a stepped shaft and matching step in the inner wheel brng race, that might explain the difference in the hub/brng fitting together at the half way point. I don't think you should be able to remove the hub by hand, in my experience they have always been an interference fit.
  9. I wouldn't think warranty would cover this fault. Purchase the newest version of the bulb and socket at your local dealer or from Sunset Imports parts and replace the parts. I myself wouldn't bother with the agro in dealing with a warranty claim on such a inexpensive and easy to replace item.
  10. I've never done a wheel brng on a boxster yet but any of the others brngs I've replaced over the years always had a slight interference fit of the hub to brng. I would have to think the hub is damaged/worn.
  11. Are you sure the bulb has actually failed each time? There is a know problem with the bulb sockets having poor contact areas.
  12. I agree with Loren about the battery but be sure to also test the rear battery if your vehicle has one. May I ask why you changed servo motors for a air sensor code??
  13. I've had ODB II scanners give false code number/descriptions when readings codes using a global OBD II scan tool instead of vehicle specific scan tool. Any idea what type of scanner the tech used to pull the codes??
  14. Sounds like a AOS to me.
  15. If you want all the oil out of the crankcase you'll need to remove both plugs.
  16. I couldn't find that button by itself in the PET, it looks like it's part of the headrest unit.
  17. Well you seem to have covered all the bases.... I really have no idea, replace the ignition switch, it causes odd things to happen...lol.
  18. I would clear the code and see if it returns. No need to start replacing parts unless there is a problem.
  19. 3.4l?? Have you done an engine swap? No check engine light or codes?
  20. 1995 also had a different rear suspension and a problem with the engine compartment wiring harness. If the wiring harness hasn't been changed Porsche will still repair it under a open recall. There was also a update to the distributor housing. I have never heard anyone call the 95 the BEST of the 993's... as always buy the newest you can afford. http://p-car.com/diy/diy.html http://www.993faq.com/ Have a look over the above sites to get some more information.
  21. I'm not aware of any cable for the Zune, there are a few for ipods as your system uses the MOST technology.
  22. That cover is for the alarm led, do a search and you should find what your looking for.
  23. I've not heard of anything like this before, I hope it's not anything serious.
  24. Inspect the cabin filter also as they can be the cause of some odors.
  25. I didn't think you could clear alarm codes using the Durametric software.
