  1. The air pump is located on the right side of the engine bay,all other components in that pic are on the engine.
  2. Perhaps a trip to your local breakers yard to get the pieces you need.
  3. You might have some shock when returning to drive but it is difficult to say if yours is excessive or not without seeing the vehicle in person. If all your engine/transaxle mounts are sound then be sure the transmission fluid level is correct or find another vehicle to see if it does the same thing.
  4. They are almost equal in price last time I checked so why not just use the correct Porsche part?? There are a few post on this subject so give the search another try.
  5. Check the torque of the spark plugs.
  6. Yes your alternator is not charging and the regulator can be replaced separately.
  7. The sensor locations are correct. One other thing to check is the charging system for over volts as I've had a few cases over the years where it has shortened the service life of the sensors by burning out the heating elements or leaking voltage back through the signal wire to the DME.
  8. I would get a second opinion. Evaporators rarely fail and even though you can smell it inside the vehicle it might be pulling it in through the cabin air intake. The best route is to recover the freon charge and pressurize the system with nitrogen to test for leaks. There are many places for this system to leak and in my experience the evap core is misdiagnosed 99% of the time. You can also have a trace dye put into the system to find the leaks.
  9. One other thing to check is the AOS. Remove the oil fill cap with the engine running and if the noise stops your AOS has failed.
  10. Purchase a battery maintainer. Optima batteries are just as prone to the parasitic losses on these newer vehicles as a conventional wet cell battery.
  11. You can not fully charge the battery on a short road test. I suggest you charge the battery for 12+ hours and have it load tested. These vehicles are known to reduce the service life of batteries and invest in a maintainer.
  12. Turn off all electrics when charging the battery. It could take several hours charging to recover if it's been completely discharged.
  13. I'm not one to tart up vehicles so this is a personal opinion and I would leave it factory.
  14. Dealer will pay for recalls if done in the allotted time period but TSB's are up to the owner.
  15. Loctite 262 compound is what I have used. You don't them coming loose due to heat cycling.
  16. Links do wear as any component can and the odd time can break.
  17. Could be many things at fault, first guess would be a failing primary fuel pump.
  18. Relays are just remove and install but your issue sounds more like a fuel problem. Can you hear the fuel pump operating during cranking?
  19. Check the rear control arm bolts. Sometimes they don't get tightened correctly after a wheel alignment.
  20. It should not be pulling at all... something is very wrong. If your not getting anywhere with your dealer find another or a good indie.
  21. OIl and coolant look fine. The yellowish stuff is from condensation but keep your eye on the levels as you always should. The oil leak is from a timing chain tensioner, you need to replace the compression washer.
  22. Could be the alarm sound when you hit a certain speed, you can turn off the option using the OBC.
  23. I think you need to disassembly the complete transaxle to replace the seal. Be sure to check the vent isn't blocked causing pressure in the case which might be causing the seal it leak. I've seen a few of these leak before but it was such a small leak it was nothing to be worried about. Check the fluid level at every service.
