  1. $550 is a lot of money, why not just get the shaft rebuilt?
  2. I have seen a failing cooling fan cause a vibration. There are two fans, one is the main cooling fan and the other is the A/C cooling fan. I also recommend replacing the motor mounts.
  3. A failing wheel brng or differential problem can often sound like tire noise. Rotate the tires front to rear or swap them with another set completely to help eliminate the cause. Does the noise change with loading (turning the steering wheel side to side) while driving at the speed it occurs at?
  4. I don't think it's possible to change the size of the numbers.
  5. Welcome to the forum. Sounds like the clutch slave cylinder accumulator has failed. Search the site for more information as it has been covered before.
  6. Let us know what you discover and please stop using all capital letters.... makes us think you're yelling.
  7. If you remove the cabin filter you will see a rubber hose connected to the air box, thats the drain for the climate control plenum. I used compressed air to clear the drain.
  8. Did all these faults happen at once? I would start with the basics and verify the valve timing.
  9. The bulb is an H3 which is a standard sizing and pay whatever price you're comfortable with. I personally wouldn't install a higher consumption bulb in this place.
  10. You might not have the brake pedal push rod seated correctly or it's length isn't correct. What after market boost did you install?
  11. It sounds like you have a leak in the system. Did the garage do anything with the clutch/brake hydraulics when it was in for the service? I would return to the service garage and have them look at it. That Pentosin fluid is nasty stuff on plastics, rubber and painted surfaces so get it sorted asap.
  12. There are several post on the forum related to your topic. Yes you can update your PCM but you'll also need to update the PCM operating software also. I believe the newest maps are only up to 2008 so I don't consider it a useful upgrade. If the voltage drops low during the update procedure you can damage the PCM.
  13. I would bet good money that the mounts have failed.
  14. I belong to a few forums and find this one to be the best technical forum and the one with the least amount of drama. Stick around for a while and I'm sure you'll appreciate Renntech for it's worth.
  15. If money isn't a problem I would replace them but only with OEM parts. The coils due fail and as you'll be in there just swap them out.
  16. You can easily check the condition of the balance shaft belt. Several 10mm head sized bolts retain the upper timing belt cover, remove these bolts, pull the cover back and you can see the balance shaft belt. How did you determine the engine/transaxle mounts are "fine"?
  17. That TSB is if you have no oil pressure and a warning lamp on due to the no oil pressure which isn't happening in your case.... you have oil pressure within a second after start up. It sounds like a timing chain tensioner has leaked down which is common place when the vehicle has been sitting. Some engines bleed down over a 24 hr period while some engine bleed down over several days. If the problem doesn't worsen and stay consistent I would consider it normal for your engine.
  18. Interesting. I'll have to flush mine and see if it improves.
  19. CHF 11.S has been replaced by Pentosin 202. I'm not sure why they reformulated it but heard rumors it has better anti foam abilities and can handle higher heat.
  20. Not a factory switch.... follow it to it's source.
  21. My Cayenne also does this slight shudder, I've noticed it on other Cayennes also and just considered it normal.
  22. The cylinder head has a plug about that size but I think if it blew out you would have coolant/oil mix as it's under the valve cover area.
