  1. Not to mention the amount of pollutants created in the manufacturing of E85. I would stay away from such a kit.
  2. No odd noises and everything operating ok? I would keep inspecting the filters to see if things worsen. How often do you change oil?
  3. Will it operate with the switch? I have seen the switch melt which causes the contacts to not engage. You need to buy the complete light assembly as the switch is not available as a separate piece.
  4. Replacement is your only option. As was already suggested- contact your insurance provider.
  5. I didn't even know they could stretch a rim.
  6. Is the battery in sound condition?
  7. When I test a suspect alternator I turn on every electric consumer in the vehicle and monitor the alt output over a period of 20 mins or so. I've had alternators fail under these conditions of extreme heat and loading.
  8. It sounds like it's purging from the the coolant overflow. What is the part number on your coolant cap?
  9. Yes they have hydraulic lifters and they can sometimes bleed down over night or just a course of several hours. If it goes away then it's nothing to worry about. Be sure the oil level is correct and you're using the correct oil.
  10. Do a amp draw test on the starter or just have it replaced/rebuilt. Also inspect the main ground cables near the battery and from chassis to engine block. I often just replace these items due to age and eliminate them as causes.
  11. That is an odd one. Are the shut lines and gaps all correct for the engine hood and lights and such? I once had a VW that had a broken brace for the chin spoiler that caused a rattle at speed... maybe have a proper look at that. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
  12. So it's only flooded on the one cylinder? If so I would check that fuel injector.
  13. I would first test the output and pattern of the engine speed sensors with a oscilloscope and then look to the ignition coil control modules. The speed sensors can cause odd faults and become heat sensitive with age, it's often best to replace them and eliminate them from the loop.
  14. Yes the system is charged with 134a freon. You need to have the systems pressure checked and if found to be low, the leak repaired. Does the system operate in heating mode correctly?
  15. I know you can check fault code on Durametric for the air suspension but not sure about it working for anything else. You must have a leak in the system and have to start by checking codes.
  16. P/S is the power steering system. Oil can track to odd places and be blown around while driving and end up several feet away from the actual source. I say a fluid leak of some kind because it looks like something has leaked but I can't tell from your pic what type of fluid. Are any other fluid levels low??
  17. I would only purchase a dedicated winter tire not an all season. Tirerack.com has loads of info on the subject.
  18. Search the site as there are a few posts on this topic.
  19. Perhaps it's a P/S system leak. Have you checked all the fluid level? I can also see signs of the rust protection product that Porsche uses but I also think you have a fluid leak of some type.
  20. Can you post any pics? I'm not sure what you mean by a chipped valve but I assume it has been damaged by the piston. I think you still have a valve timing issue which has caused these issues.
  21. The blow off valve is a mechanical system and not related to the blend door servos for the air box. The pressure is excessive causing the system to purge which could be caused by a restriction/blockage, cooling fans not working correctly or the incorrect compressor output. I believe the Cayenne uses a variable displacement A/C compressor which is controlled via the climate control module. I'll try and find out more info and report back.
  22. I suggest you find a new garage to service your vehicle.
  23. You need to have the system pressures checked. If its empty, find the leak, have it repaired and the system recharged.
