  1. If the clutch slave cylinder accumulator fails it will cause this issue. Search the forum as it has been covered. Be sure to throughly wash the area.
  2. I would disconnect the connections in question and dry them with low pressure compressed air. High pressure washers can force water past the weather pack seals and the seal will not allow it to dry out completely. Then clear all codes and retest systems. If a battery is ten months old or ten minutes old, it's always a good idea to verify that is within spec.
  3. You can mix 11S and 202 but not CHF 7.1. Pentosin 202 is the replacement for 11S as already stated. Do not get this fluid on any plastic/rubber/painted surfaces as it will damage most things it comes into contact with. Throughly wash the area with water if so.
  4. If you turn off the PSM does it still display the fault? I haven't heard of a fault like this before.
  5. Are there any fault codes in the system? Have you looked under the seat to see if anything has become unplugged?
  6. When the radiator fans do come on, at what speed are they coming on?
  7. The battery could have an internal intermittent break in the cells. Replace the battery and eliminate it as a source of problems.
  8. Congrats on the new motor and be sure to post pics. You don't mention what suspension set up your vehicle has but a 18" tire often has a taller profile so it will soften the ride.
  9. Some have had success while others have had various problems. There are no set answers to doing this type of upgrade and it carries a risk. You can only give it a go and hope yours is successful.
  10. Not sure if the Cayenne is the same but on the Touareg there is a set of magnets in the shifter housing that can fall out of their housing and the manual shift mode will no longer operate. I have just glued the magnets back into their positions and everything worked again. I think the magnets energize a hall effects switch.
  11. Many people break the retaining clip because they don't know how to release the connector. You need to push the connectors together first, press the release tab then pull the connector part.... works every time.
  12. I'm not sure you can purchase this connector without the harness. The retaining clips break often and I just use a plastic zip tie to keep the connector held together. As for the removal tool, I have a kit sold by Mac Tools that has about 12 or 14 pieces that has always worked on any connector to date.
  13. As in who manufactured it?
  14. They are a very good tool and highly recommended.
  15. The squeak from the water pump may be considered normal as it the mechanical seal making the noise and nothing to worry about. Did you have the noise before replacing any of the above components? You can't judge a failed idler pulley by the amount of "play" in the brng assembly unless it's massively excessive. I would first verify that the belt is routed correctly and that it indeed the correct belt size/length. Does the belt tensioner move smoothly throughout it's range?
  16. This is not a common problem on the Cayenne and yours is the first I have seen. There is no bleed valve on the Cayenne and they do self bleed through the expansion tank rather well. I would also verify operation of the thermostat, cooling fans and that the water pump is actually circulating coolant and doesn't have a damaged impeller.
  17. Be sure the weather pack seal for the electrical connector isn't damaged or swollen causing interference when installing the headlight assembly.
  18. Are there any fault codes? There is a know issue causing harsh down shifts and a company called Sonnax has rebuilt valve bodies to resolve these issues. Why does he want to replace the Transmission Control Unit? I would shop around for a indie who has experience with the Cayenne to save yourself a shed full of money.
  19. Do the brake lights come on when you step on the pedal?
  20. I have driven them all and chose the V6 because it met all of my needs. The V8 and V6 have the same tow ratings and fuel milage isn't something to bring into the picture when you're dealing with a 5500lb SUV. I think the V6 has enough torque for city driving and the only time I wish it had another 50hp or so was when I am passing people on my local single lane rubbish highways. I have a 2005 model and also drove a 2008 and 2011 V6 which was excellent in the power department in my opinion.
  21. Buy whatever group size fits for your vehicle. Chances are it will be manufactured by Exide regardless who you purchase it from. Canadian Tire always has good warranties.
  22. Check every control module for fault codes and post them here please. Have you cleared all the low voltage fault codes from the battery replacment?
