  1. The answers are going to be all over the map as driving style has a massive impact on milage. Prepare yourself for it to be awful.
  2. If you indeed do have the trailer hitch installed then look to the left of the receiver for the electrical connection. If it's there, then you need only to purchase a standard receiver with whatever sized ball you need a 4 or 7 pin trailer harness plug depending on what's required for your trailer. They are VW part number.
  3. You just need to replace that connector junction. I'm not sure of the part number but if you remove the old unit there will be a part number on it. They get brittle over time and very easy to break.
  4. Bosch make the OEM unit. Be sure it's the newest part number and you should be fine. I'm curious to what fault codes they got to point the finger at the MAF sensor..... something along the lines of lean condition or ???
  5. Could be all of the above. You'll need to get under the vehicle and have a look around.
  6. Odd. It doesn't sound like a MAF sensor problem. Have you replaced the unit and did it fix the problem?
  7. Did you disclose to them about the damaged wiring you repaired? I could be that the control unit is damaged.
  8. I would never assume they checked it. I always cover the basics first to eliminate them.
  9. Remove the DRL module to see if that corrects the issue.
  10. did the vehicle come with an owners manual? If not you can download one here.
  11. Low battery charge can also cause odd faults like this.
  12. I agree with Loren about having the units reprogrammed but I would also verify the battery and main cable connections are sound. Never hurts to check the basics first.
  13. It's very difficult to fully remove all the old oil from the cooling system so are you sure it's not just residue from the first failure? How much coolant are you loosing? Is there a lot of oil in the coolant?
  14. What's the difference between MAFless and Speed Density? Are you saying the MAF sensor is no longer used? If so, how does the DME calculate engine load?
  15. Be sure the battery is in good condition as it can cause odd issues in these vehicles. There is also a TSB 9110 issued to address a similar fault.
  16. Are the brakes really being applied or the engine power being reduced? You need to check for fault codes or monitor live data ( get someone to help ) whilst the vehicle is faulting.
  17. I think that goes to a vacuum check valve.
  18. This is an odd one. Long shot but maybe check for water in the alarm module under the left seat. It's connected to the door micro switches and such. Have you noticed any battery or other odd problems?
  19. View is always referenced from the driver seat ( left hand drive ) facing forward. The primary pump is the left pump and recommend changing the fuel filter module with pump replacement. Sorry I've no idea about operating solely on the right pump but would get the defective unit replaced asap.
  20. Test the fuel pump pressure and volume. The Cayenne uses two fuel pumps with the main pump and filter unit being located under the left side rear seat, the secondary assist pump located on the right side.
  21. Unfortunately the part is expensive and comes with several connectors for the valve body control solenoid. Sorry I don't know of a cheaper source.
  22. I agree with RFM. You need to fully clean the connector and replace the ribbon cable for the valve body as the sealing properties of the electrical connector have failed. Oil can migrate up the wiring harness and into the transmission ECU causing damage which could require replacement so inspect the ECU connector also. If you have PSM, operating the vehicle on a lift will also display odd transmission operating so it's recommended to clear all fault codes in all modules and drive the vehicle to evaluate.
  23. The air suspension needs to be put through it's paces while monitoring data via a scan tool. One can not simply look to fault codes for the answers all the time as sometimes they are not present. There are several data points that need to be measured to identify the source of the problem including the height position sensors and the ability of the system to hold rest pressure and how quickly it rebuilds pressure. Many techs are not familiar with the diagnostics of these systems. Your best chance of finding the problem is to have the vehicle exhibiting the fault then go directly to your garage and have the system checked without shutting the ignition off or leave the vehicle with them so they can road test it until it faults.
  24. Yes the V6 can suffer from the mentioned faults but not as much as the V8. As a matter of fact I have replaced many EVAP flow control solenoids on various makes over the years so it's not just a Porsche thing incase someone was planning on starting a class action lawsuit.
  25. When I last spoke to Owen at Durametric they were still working on various coding issues for some modules. Recommend contacting them as the first step.
