  1. Does this vehicle actually use that system? I couldn't find any information on it.
  2. You must be really sensitive if you tell spent oil by driving the vehicle.
  3. Sorry I don't know the path of power for those circuits.
  4. Never assume they changed the filter with pump replacement. I have replaced many fuel pumps and various make over the years and you'd be shocked at the garbage I've found in tanks. I just replaced a plugged fuel filter that caused a drivability problem on a fuel injected vehicle that only had 118,000 kms on the clock. I changed my Cayenne filter at 120,000 kms for piece of mind. It's really not difficult at all to fit a new unit.
  5. Why not just have the vehicle towed and have it properly repaired instead of risking damage to the engine from a dodgy patch job performed on a street or car park?
  6. Wash the area off and see if that helps determine the source.
  7. I have replaced the LEDs with units from an old VW cluster, saved buying a new unit.
  8. System should adapt as you drive but there is an throttle body and transmission adaption you can reset via Durametric or Porsche scanner.
  9. Time is money, save yourself loads of it and let the garage smoke test the intake. Leak will be found in seconds as there are many places it could be coming from.
  10. Is it a leak or just the way the cowling is directing the used fluid to the drains and onto the ground?
  11. Be sure a dodgy ignition switch isn't causing the issue, slightly turn the key back and forth to see if the radio powers up.
  12. The drain hose itself might be damage and leaking water into the cabin, you must inspect it carefully.
  13. It's located in a module above the main fuel pump located in the fuel tank. Access is via an inspection panel under the left rear passenger seat. You can purchase a VDO replacement from WorldPac for $110.00 CDN I think.
  14. Gasoline is a very different smell then anything else, good thing you noticed before it caught fire or something. The fuel filter is located on the left side of the vehicle.
  15. Have you checked simple things like the fuses? There might also be a fuse located in the rear of the radio.
  16. Did you open that black plastic box shown in your pic to see if it contains any connectors that need drying out?
  17. You might have to calibrate the top mechanism but will need the Porsche scan tool or contact Durametric and ask if their software can do it.
  18. You risk not getting all the old fluid out of the sump. I would use jack stand to support the vehicle equally at all four corners to keep it level and have access underneath.
  19. Have you verified that the charging system is still operating correctly including the battery?
  20. Sometimes the simple act of unplugging the power supply to these modules will cure odd faults and it cost nothing so give it a try. Unplug the control unit for a minute then connect again, clear any faults and operate the seat through all its functions. I've had this work a few times but I've also seen wiring harness routed incorrect from people working on the seat for whatever reason (usually airbag related) and the harness gets damaged.
  21. I prefer to think of it as the "port side" - since some people think LEFT looking at the engine, rather then the left side of the car.. :thumbup: Very true! When in doubt RTFM and it always amazes me how many people don't.
  22. I always remove the line from the cooler, it's easy to access and you can install extension hoses onto the fittings and direct them into pails. With the front wheels off the ground and engine off turn the steering wheel lock to lock until no more fluid is forced out. Reconnect the lines, fill the system and bleed it then check for leaks. I also throughly wash the area to be sure no old fluid is left hiding anywhere. Pentosin 202 is the newest recommended fluid and replaces 11S.
  23. Sorry I'm familiar with the newer versions of the PCM but what did the dealer say when you brought up these questions? Does it not display your region correctly?
  24. What fuses failed? I would inspect wiring harnesses for damage from being worn or rodent damage in the engine compartment. It would help to know what circuits are in suspect at had the failed fuses. When it doesn't start is it not cranking over or cranks fine but doesn't flash up? If it's blowing fuse 7 and 8 in the main fuse block near the brake master cylinder then those are for the fuel injectors/ignition coils, you could have a failing coil on both banks that could be at fault but this wouldn't cause a intermittent no start condition.
  25. P/S tank is on the left side of the engine bay under a plastic cover as noted in the owners manual.
