  1. Part of the KESSY module powers up the Terminal relay which powers up part of the CANBUS system, if the CANBUS isn't operating correctly is can cause issues with convience systems. Can you operate the climate control servo motors via the Durametric and do the go through their full control range?
  2. You really need to have the fault codes or it's all a guessing game. The gearbox is having some sort of fault and also check the DME, ABS and instrument panel for fault code relating to the gearbox.
  3. I installed a wireless camera with bluetooth mirror for my mobile. The camera images is displayed in the left part of the mirror. It works well and has excellent night vision. Unit was made by Yada.
  4. I'm not sure what you are asking. Are you thinking the fuel pump needed to operate the heater will be an upgrade over the standard pump?
  5. What year is your vehicle? Some models had a dual sump with two drain plugs, you'd never recover all the oil using an extractor which is a poor way to remove the oil in the first place.
  6. Very common for that to break. I just cut off the metal compression collars from the rubber hose (which is normally hard as stone) and replace them along with a metal "T" and hose clamps.
  7. Also inspect the tensioner assembly for range of motion and condition of the belt but it does sound like the alternator is on it's way out.
  8. There is a elbow shaped hose that connects to the aluminium pipe from the thermostat housing and leads to the after run coolant pump for the climate control. The second part of the system from the after run pump splits off into two "T" fittings for the coolant to the turbos.
  9. I would inspect the many fuel lines that run from each pump to the suction jet pumps. You might have a loose fitting or cracked one of the pipes.
  10. You need a ridged pipe so it doesn't collapse under vacuum, I think the factory bits are best.
  11. Have you checked the coolant level? What are the fault codes if any??
  12. Chances are the door latch mechanism has failed which contains the lock motor. You can test it with a PIWIS factory scan tool and also inspect for damaged wiring in the door hinge area.
  13. Hard to say but if you have the speed sensitive steering it might have just been a sticky control valve in the rack. Nothing to worry about if it stays working.
  14. Are you turning it off via the central display?
  15. You could spend all day guessing but in the end you really need to have the system checked for fault codes and data from the transmission range selector switch verified. You can check for corrosion at the range switch located on the side of the gearbox near the shifter cable attachment. The harness that is open to corrosion from a leaky sunroof drain is located under the carpet on the left(drivers) side under the dead pedal. The magnet- which your cayenne will have - are only for the manual operation of the gearbox.
  16. Any drivability issues? I would smoke test for a vacuum leak.
  17. The OEM unit is glued together, I don't know anyway to disassemble it without some breakage.
  18. There is also a filter located in the fluid tank but is only replaceable by renewing the tank.
  19. I also recommend torquing the plugs to the correct specs.
  20. Would the alarm stop the engine from cranking?
  21. You'll need the factory scan tool,Durametric or Launch scan tools to access the fault codes in the KESSY module. That module is used for the entry and drive system,immobiliser/alarm and in conjunction with the vehicle electrical system control module activates relays/modules for the CANBUS systems. A standard OBD2 device will be useless and the Durametric is the best choice cost wise. This is a complicated vehicle and unless you're comfortable with such things it's recommended a trip to the dealer or indy with experience and a PIWIS dealer scanner. In regards to the battery, just because you had it on a charger and thought all was well doesn't mean the battery if sufficient for the Cayenne. I recommend your first step being to have the battery properly tested.
  22. Does the unit have the correct fluid in it? If you're unsure, why not change it out and see if that solves the clutch binding issue if that is indeed what the problem is.
