  1. replacing both the light assemblies and the bulbs are really easy. if you just want the blue tint you can just replace the bulbs which are like 30 bucks. if you want the real litronic/xenon lights it'll cost you around 1500. I did that and it was well worth the money...
  2. a lot of companies make shift lights for cars. you have to purchase one according to the correct amount of cylinders in your engine. i.e. they sell one for the 4 cylinder, 6 cylinder, and 8 cylinder cars. Autometer makes a nice shift light. You can buy the really small ones which are bright but not too noticeably when not on. they also come with covers to cover the lights so you're not always blinded when driving. some of them come with different plugs that allow you to change the time the light comes on etc... others have a knob at the rear. To install, you remove your gauge cluster and find the ignition coil wire. or you can get to it from the distributor cap or from the ecu area if you know the correct wire. i'm sure someone on here can point you to that wire. then you just splice into it. if you know where the wire is and you are pretty handy with cars I would say it's about a 30 minute to 1hour job. have fun and post pics~
  3. Click Here for the DIY Hi, put on my spoiler finally after having it sit in my place for over 2 months now. I'm going to keep it on for a while and see how I like it and then maybe change over to the Gemballa wing. I like it as of now and it actually works really well. Good downforce at really high speeds on sharp turns... on the track of course :P DIY takes about 15 minutes to install the spoiler. N JOY~
  4. oops... I forgot you have a gt3... it might be different for your car... i have a carrera 2. The bolt on mine was way in there. I think for turbo cars you can just change just the tip but i'm not sure on the gt3's. i'll check my friends car and get back to you.
  5. I just did this (the tip replacement) i changed my tips with x54. The bolt on my car was 16mm. One bolt and a lot of rust removal. took about 45 minutes and a lot of elbow grease.
  6. so yours came with the bent pipes as well? By the way, I found out in this thread: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...st=0entry3906 that mine is the correct one for my car (c2) but now I need to know if they're supposed to have the bent pipes or not.
  7. First off, I don't know if these are x54 because I bought them used and they don't say porsche on them. Next, I noticed they were bent in the rear. I'm assuming this is how they come right? I haven't taken off my old ones yet but I'm hoping they are the same. Either way, if this is indeed how they are supposed to be, it's like putting a bottleneck on your exhaust system because the bend restricts the airflow (changes the flow pattern) so much it's sick. If indeed the tips are not supposed to be like this then I need to hurry and contact the seller so I can return them. Anybody know if this is what they're supposed to look like? Or did I end up buying a piece of ... imitation that's all banged up? THANKS!
  8. hey scouser do you have pics of when those tips were on your car? I want to see what they look like on a pre 2002 rear bumper. i have mine sitting here in my bedroom and I'm going to put them on this weekend or maybe next. I want to see if it's worth the time to put them on or if I should just junk them...

  10. actually, if you search the japanese import boards they tell you how you can dye the glass and remove the amber out of them. I didn't do it and ended up opting for the litronics but I've seen it done before and it's pretty darn amazing.

  12. I saw a used one for sale on rennlist or 6speedonline for 150. Used or new they're the same thing... otherwise they sell them on ebay for about 229 new. i'm sure there's other places as well but they're the about the same price everywhere give or take 10 or so dollars...

He had a store install two 8inches under the rear seats and they are not noticeable to the naked eye. incredible job and incredible sound. I think he has a 2002 c4 cab. they look awesome!
