  1. Check shifter linkage and half axles? Sounds like something is disconnected.
  2. Glad to hear that and good job tracking down the culprit!
  3. $500 is a smoking deal for all those parts!
  4. Part #20 here? http://www.autoatlanta.com/porsche-parts/hardparts.php?dir=996-99-05&section=201-01 Ouchy price. Better be the culprit...
  5. Wow, that looks promising. Someone tried to fix that with a zip tie?? My goodness.
  6. Do you have another gauge to try or you are sure the gauge itself is accurate? I like RFM's theory as well. Can also check the voltage at the pump terminals when the pump is running. Should be very close to the battery voltage.
  7. Granted mine is a 996.2 so I may be completely off but at least that gave you some ideas to try out.
  8. Thank you. I've got the coolant tank out (because I cut the nipple off the old tank with the leak) but can't get the new one back in. I can get the tank in if I remove the bracket but then I can't get the bracket back in with the tank in place. Keep the good ideas coming. David You are very close and yes, you will struggle to get the bracket back on the car with the tank in place. What makes it easier is to put the tank in first, then slide the bracket onto the tank but not completely so you can reinstall one of the screws holding the bracket. Once one screw is in, you can slide the tank off the bracket and install the other screw. Both are a bear but not impossible with patience. Some ppl just gave up on the second screw and leave one screw holding the bracket without bad effects. I managed to get both screws back on the bracket. Good luck!
  9. Not sure about 997 but on 996.2, I needed to remove the black mountng bracket on top of the coolant tank to get the tank out. Part #6 in this diagram http://www.autoatlanta.com/porsche-parts/hardparts.php?dir=997-05-08&section=105-20
  10. Have you verified the fuel pressure and flow rate again after all the new parts on the fuel system? Your fuel pressure was below spec (35 PSIG vs 55 required) even after the fuel pump replacement. I don't have the spec flow rate but you could probably google it.
  11. Looks like there are two seals for the driver side glass. One covering the outward facing surface of the glass and one covering the inner surface. The one covering the inner glass surface looks like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-996-Door-Seal-Inner-Left-99653753106-/221117865820 You can see the soft hairy stuff. It's part #5 here http://www.autoatlanta.com/porsche-parts/hardparts.php?dir=986-97-04&section=804-10 The one covering the outer glass surface seems to be Part #4. You can see the hairy stuff in this photo http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-996-Outer-Door-Seal-99653708607-/390630658410
  12. I wonder if it's the drum brakes making noise but hard to imagine how though. Have you tried engaging your handbrake a bit when moving back and forth and see if the noise is different?
  13. MY2002 was the last year for "wired" radios before they went to fiber optics (MOST) in MY2003. If they caused the problem - they should fix the problem - for free. Ah, ok. My bad. That makes sense now.
  14. Glad you found the problem. I guess you threw off a few of us when you said "Try to restart and nothing". I read that as car didn't even try to crank.
  15. I think Hypersilver is an excellent choice. It looks great and should hide the brake dust really well too hehe
  16. BTW, love your shots! I've said it on Rennlist already but will say it again here. The 996 lines and curves never look tired to me and I always look back after parking my car.
  17. Good eyes! That too but the most obvious I think it's the x74 :)
  18. Full Aerokit? Actually no, I only have the side skirts.....hint -> my SIG
  19. And here's mine. See if you can spot any difference :)
  20. Oh also, the front wipers are of different lengths 21"/22" so you will need two sets of inserts....may not end up saving as much as you expected.
  21. I explored that option before briefly. Those little tabs of the OE arms don't seem to be designed to accept inserts so I ended up getting the OE ones from Sunset Porsche. You may want to check yours closely to see if inserts is even an option. You can also get the OEM Bosch set 3397001582 a bit cheaper than OE but there have BOSCH logos on them.
  22. Ah ok, that makes sense. The ":" and "GBP" threw me off.
  23. Makes sense. Basically replaced all the old fluid with the new fluid then changed the filter afterwards.
  24. Just out of curiosity, how to read the price that says "99:90 GBP"? That can't be 99,9 UK pounds.
