  1. Sounds reasonable. Once you unlug the fan, you can verify if you have power on the car connector side while activating the fan with Durametric. Also, you can bench test or supply power to the unplugged fan and confirm it's dead.
  2. Btw, if you ave Durametric, you can activate the fuel pump with it.

  4. If you have sparks (sounds like you have), your crank position sensor is good. Does it have a fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail? Perhaps it's stuck open? How about if you jump the fuel pump via the fuel pump relay (with the relay removed)?
  5. Did you check for fuel pressure (~3.8 bar from memory) and volume at the fuel rail? Fuel filter ok?
  6. Sorry but I'm not familiar with those longer BOsch p/n's.   7. When you said the O2 sensors are dead, what constant voltage did it give? It makes a difference. Was it about 0.44v or 0v? Check pin 1 of all sensors (black cable) if you get 12v with key on engine off. 12v is the power to the hearing element of the sensor. Then check pin 4 of each one and see if you get any voltage. You should see about 0.44v with key on engine off. If they are not, the engine will run very rough all the time.
  8. All your codes are O2 sensor related. Have you checked the fuse for the O2 sensor heaters? Do you have a scanner setup that you can use to monitor O2 sensor voltage?
  9. If there's truly no coolant in the oil, it's hard to imagine how oil in coolant could cause metal debris.
  10. Sorry to say but it doesn't look good at all. You likey need an engine rebuild. With that much debris, the engine has to come apart. At this point, you should at least drop the oil pan and see what else is there.
  11. Just run a magnet on the shavings and see if they stick.

  15. The relay has separate contacts for left and right side lights so it's possible your relay is the culprit. You can remove it and bench test it. I know someone actually opened It up and fixed the bad contacts inside.
  16. Oh never mind. Saw it's an '08 now. Look around for an unconnnect plug then. Maybe the sensor was never installed after the engine rebuilt.
  17. Check your engine temp sensor. It may have fallen off and is laying on top of the engine.The sensor is between the intake manifold runners for cylinders #4 and #5. Right side of the engine compartment.

  19. Perhaps you can try to power up the control unit on the bench separately by another power source. That should help you troubleshoot it without damaging the car.
  20. I agree the E7 measurements were weird. E7 and B5 to B10 are on the same circuit (wire) and they get power from the ignition switch. If E7 is 0v (assume the fuse is there and it's good), fusses B5 to B7 will also be 0v too, which is hard to believe.
  21. D6 is always hot and E7 is switched power. It sounds like your climate control module is bad and it leaks power (from D6) back to the switched power source even when the key is removed. I suggest you remove the climate control unit and send that out for dagnostic. If my theory is correct, once you removed the control unit, everything else (non a/c stuff) should work as normal. Is your fan also controlled by the control unit or there's a physical dial knob to control speed?
  22. Btw, once your SAI readiness flag is set, yoi can declare victory. I'm pretty sure it's fixed though.
  23. Glad you got it sorted! Thanks for keepimg your word and I'm sure the diy will help others. It's interesting to see the clay like material clogging the SAI port, and only on bank 2. I wonder what that was.
