Hi, could you help? i've got a Y2000 C2 with the same factory sound system as you. Like you i like the H/U, i've changed the multi changer to a ipod connection. Now it's time to change the stock speakers. I want to do the dash first to see what type of difference this will make. My question is can i use the existing speaker wiring? Is it easy to follow the speaker wires back to the amp to wire in the crossovers? Would it be easier to use coax speakers instead of components, i've never fitted components,how easy is it compared to coax. I've run cables fitted new amps and seakers before so i'm no numpty, but your advice would be cool. cheers Chris.

Hi all. This is my first post so be kind!! I recently purchased a Y2000 C2 with the sound upgrade (speakers in the door) I want to upgrade the audio system and wanted to start with the front dash speakers. I've changed speakers before but just changed to coax type speakers never components. I've no problem with adapting the front dash grill to fit the new 4" speaker and 1" tweeter but i've never done the crossover bit! Please could someone explain how to wire from the speakers to the crossover and then to the om amp. Any pictures woud be great. By the way a great site full of great advice, can't wait to do the garage door switch mod, great idea. Cheers Chris.
