  1. Thanks. Sounds like I can't go wrong for $100. I will order these this weekend.
  2. Yes, a few weeks ago going into the local Starbucks parking lot too fast. Ouch! In front of a bunch of drunkards coming out of the local restaurant. Double ouch! (ego and bumper scraped) Double decaf espresso with sweetener, in case you are wondering!
  3. Thanks Westcoaster. The ones at Suncoast have to be a copy then. I checked out the Porsche prices in Canada and they are outrageous. Around $500 for the standard ones and $1200 for the carbon fibre. I guess I will give them at try for $100 a set.
  4. These door sill plates from Suncoast Porsche look like what I am looking for and a reasonable price. Has anyone ordered these? Are they decent quality? Happy with them? http://e-partssales.com/Merchant2/merchant...y_Code=Specials
  5. Yes, agreed for the exact wheels. I would just like to get an idea of the quality by seeing the same wheel type for that manufaturer for any car. Not keen on spending this much money from a picture on a web site.
  6. Is there anywhere online to view the TSBs or do I have to go to the dealer?
  7. When I look at the 18 inch rims on the market, I see 18 x 8, 18 x 8.5 and 18 x 10. I assume the 8, 8.5 and 10 is the width. Any comments on the various sizes for 02 Boxster? What are the tire sizes that these correspond with? Thanks.
  8. I would like to find a retail store for new 18 inch rims and tires (Goodyear Eagle F1 G3-DS) for my 02 Boxster, in the Toronto area, preferably east end. Anyone know a reputable dealer that can guarantee me that the rims will fit properly, not rub etc. I have tried a few tire stores that sell rims but they really don't know much about the rims and proper fit on a Boxster. Call me old fashioned but I don't want an online store since I want to see the rims first and have them installed by the same store I buy them from.
  9. Is this from Porsche or where can you get it?
  10. Thank you. It's been driving me crazy for a while when I get the single honk. I check everything and it appears to be fine. But I didn't realize the center console cover had a sensor. That would be what it is for me. Thanks for pointing that out.
  11. Just had my "new to me" 2002 Boxster in at the dealer for a service. This is the first and only Boxster I've driven. One of my complaints was the shifting. It was a little sloppy and the throw was too long for me but my major complaint was that as I went up and down through the middle between 1st and 2nd mainly, but also between other gears, it just seems to need too much pressure to get into gear. A bit of a hard stickiness as you go through the centre. So they upsold me on the Porsche Short Shifter (not a hard upsale). I love the shorter throw and the stiffer feel of the shifter. The stickiness is better but still not what I would like. The dealer says the mechanic drove it and he feels it's normal for a Boxster. Any opinions? Is the Boxster normally a harder shift than other cars?
