If the 2 codes Loren gives for your becker radio doesn't work, head to http://www.beckerautosound.com/ and click "request code" button. Fill out the form and send in to becker with $30 on credit card, and you'll have your code and new code card. MUCH cheaper than going through the porsche dealer and no proof of ownership required. My experiance with this: I filled out the form and used the email option. i also edited the form in bold letters at the top asking for the price on a set of keys to my radio incase i needed to pull it out again. i got an email back with in 24 hours stating my radio code for instant use and that they were mailing the keys along with my code card free of charge!! received both of those in about 2 days. good luck everyone.

No problem. I wish I could have come up with the magic sequence of twisting, wiggling and swearing that worked for getting the tube off and later back on the throttle body. If not for that challenge, the whole task is just a little more than a half hour job. If anyone has any tricks or tips, I'd love to hear for the next time. Maybe Loren or TP know some magic trick :P Guys, I gave it a another try today... the air duct just wont give away. I am getting frustrated. I think all the dirt accumulated around the throttle, just made the tube even stickier and it wont come out. I have been pulling pretty hard to the point where the intake moves slightly. Is there an easier way to do this. Could it be that the cold made the tube even harder to remove? It was indeed a pretty cold day today around here in NJ. Any ideas from the Boxster masterminds? Thank you so much, Gustavo Not sure if you did this Gustavo, but if not, try taking the metal ring completely off the hose that goes around the TB. i just did this to my 2000 boxster this weekend due to an annoying CEL and bad idle. For me, just loosening the ring made the air duct very hard to pull off the TB, but once i removed the ring, the hose took 2 wiggles to get off and put back on. I didn't have to lube or heat anything. good luck my friend, and wish i could do more to help. On another note, after cleaning my MAF and TB (which was pretty dirty), my car is still running like crap. air filter was clean, and the car ran great a couple months ago when i bought it. never drove it hard and my CEL codes are p1128, p1130, p0455, and p0450. gas cap is on tight and hisses when i unscrew it to fill up. crazy thing is after each time i fill up, the boxster doesn't want to start. it has to crank for a good 15 secs before starting and then it wants to die for about 20 secs after. it is a 2000 boxster 2.7 ltr. any help or ideas on diagnosing the problem(s) would be mostley appreciated. Try 6608 or 6606 Thanks for the quick reply loren and the help...but after entering the code, my deck is stuck on the "wait" screen. i tried unplugging the harness from the back of the deck and also the neg cable on the battery for about a min and a half to try and reset, but no luck. any advice? thanks again! Well, you didn't read this thread did you... WAIT has been explained here several times. You need to drive the car to clear the WAIT message. eh...u are a porsche god my friend and i thank you yet again...but i didn't have time to read 26 pages of cdr-220 serial numbers and codes since being on the net at work is punishable by termination. ;) so i took your advice and the wait did clear and is ready for a code again. hate buggin ya about this, but if those 2 codes you gave me didn't work, is there still a chance to save myself the 2.5 hour trip to the dealership?

whats up...i'm the second owner of my 2000 boxster and of course it didn't come with the owners manual or radio code. any ideas on what mine might be? here's the info: type:cdr-220 model: BE 4462 serial: x5030284 thanks for all the help!
