  1. how about a photo or two?
  2. old thread but some good info here. I like the plastic dip idea for the jack stands. Just ordered a set of four jack pads from Ebay for 60.00. They are polished aluminum and are made to provide ample space between jack/jack stand and surrounding veihicle parts.
  3. 1schoir mentioned ..."If you have tried the window reset" I searched out this thread hoping to learn something about the automatic window adjustment feature and how to reset it following a power interruption. Could you please elaborate on the window reset and exactly how to perform it? My battery went dead yesterday while having a new windshield installed. After it was recharged the windows won't automatically adjust with the opening a closing of the doors. I believe this window reset is the answer but apparently I'm not doing it correctly to fix the problem. thanks

  5. here's some pics...lesson learned is that the clear coat is applied to the powder coat and can be easily repaired http://www.dhsartstudio.com/doug/turbocaliper2.jpg http://www.dhsartstudio.com/doug/after1.jpg http://www.dhsartstudio.com/doug/turborcaliper1.jpg http://www.dhsartstudio.com/doug/after2.jpg
  6. Thanks Izzy for posting this link. Apparently there are no published service manuals for my car and these are a great source of info.
  7. thanks guys...I was done before I read your clean up suggestions. I used Xylene and brake fluid cleaner. I hope that does the trick. They sure look great...for now anyway! :D
  8. thanks kevinmac...we're on the same page right now I'm in the process of doing just what you suggested
  9. thanks porschinator...i'm having a hard time popping it off...don't want to break it but it's not opening has anyone seen a replacement for the Turbo spoiler mounted tail light online? I'd like to have a new light and gasket in hand as I destroy the original while taking it off As a follow up: the dealer has the light assembly which includes the gasket for 129.00 there's a clear one with red led lights on Ebay for 99.00 both include the gasket which is all i really need anyway but it can't be purchased seperately
  10. what did you do? the car I just purchased has the rotors all messed up from brake fluid (I think). I'm still pondering which way to go with these...paint? powdercoat? or replace? anymore thoughts would be appreciated
