    Thanks Loren. From what I understand in this TSB, I need to rewired from the door side airbag to the connector, redo the connection inside the door connector, rewired from the door connector to the control unit, then redo the connector of the unit connector... Then reconnect the battery and hoping that the fault code is gone...

    Hello. This one is for Loren.... I endup with an Airbag warning light with a fault code 801b. By doing some research, I found a TSB that lead to the potential cause of this fault code. ( Corrosion due to moisture in the door connection point.) Here is my question, on the TSB 6953 there are no clear figure explaining where or how to connect the 2 upgrade wire harness, they are also refering to a workshop manual 2706in for connection of the airbag unit, and for control unit. Where can I find detailed informations for this TSB or about the WS 2706in ??? Thanks Fred

    Hello I've swap a ZF A86.00 with an 2001 ZF A86.05 In my old 1997 Boxster 986, I also had the matching 2001 transmission TCU, but endup using the old one. My Motronic was not able to see the newer TCU because of the MOST interface. But dont worry, the tranny should work well with the old Control anyway.     Hello To dump oil like this in the front of the tranny, the only possible cause might be the torque converter seal.... ZF 5hp19 Tiptronic transmission need 9 litres of oil to run. dump half of it, and you have a dead tranny. Please provide more informations, like your mileage, or if the transmission was maintained recently ( fluid & filter change ) or if the dumped oil got a particular strong burn smell. Good luck

    This is just to informed you that I've done some test with my current PCM navteq DVD maps, and that I'm now running my PCM on a clone DVD without any issue. So if you're still interested, I could sell you the original for $180 or a fully tested copies of all the cd/DVD for $80...Your choice...

    I didn't receive any offer, but I think I have a solution. Since you are a US resident and that the lattest release 997 044 902 51 for our cars cost $300 at pelicanparts.com instead of almost $400 in Canada, Do you want to buy it, and I will pay you $200 for the kit including shipping. That way, it will cost you only $100.

    Hello It doesn't take special abilities to replace a solenoid... on a scale of 1 to 10 ( 1 being the easy job ) I will rate this as a 2.. just because you have to dismantle the under body to acces the pan. Be really carefull with the connector on the solenoid, they get brittle over time... and you don't want to change the harness in the tranny... BTW don't forget to purchase a new filter and a new gasket for the pan....

    Loren... Is this spur gear located between the transmission and the final drive???? If the ratio is different, that's probably why I have almost 6 KMH difference at 3000 RPM... Thanks for the Help
