  1. They claim this will flow better than K & N. Any feedback?
  2. LOL yeah if u want all that 300 extra lbs or get a fat G/F. I dont even carry my spare tire w/ me. Spacing looks good! what size tire r u running ?
  3. WOW! city of LBC,,,, time to get deambered.
  4. Good point! Maurice. I usually don't disconnect the 8 pin connector, wire should be just long enough to pull the seat out . Make sure u put some kind of protective cover other wise its easy to scratch your door sill! Spen: Do not pull the seat out until AFTER you have pulled the key out of the iginition and disconnected the battery. Wait at least one minute and then proceed. If you don't disconnect the battery and then disconnect the 8 pin connector under the seat, you will get the dreaded airbag light. Then it can only be reset with a Durametric, PST2 or PIWIS. Regards, Maurice.
  5. what do u want for em? I have a set of Ebach's that I could have sold to you!
  6. I believe offset 48mm-F/58mm-R. Im thinking your 5/16 spercers r too thick? What kind of spacers are they? ,8mm,hub centric? I'm just asking cuz I thought u were using a set of 25mm(1 inch). I got the same wheels on my car,,,I'm also wondering, why didn't you run 265/35ZR/18's on the rear? I talked to Frank from Eurotechwheel, he doesn't remember using a pair of spacers on the rear for a Boxster at all.
  7. Cool! dont you just love how she sounds? No, the passenger side appears to just be a cooling fan (similar to a "pancake" fan on a computer) that pulls cool air into the engine compartment. No, I haven't been able to de-snorkel. The right side comes apart as described in an earlier thread - push the grille in, it frees up the duct and it comes loose. The left side doesn't want to cooperate. Like the grille and duct are one piece. Tried to push it in but it doesn't budge. Suggestions? Yes. Tried to get the tabs holding the grille to move outwards, releasing the grille, and tried to get the grille to "pop" in, releasing the duct. Nothing want to let go. I have pushed and pulled pretty hard, as hard as I think I should on plastic parts. Tomorrow night I'll try pushing the tabs outward again. OK, now it has been decided! I am a 'tard and a wimp. I tried again tonight and after getting frustrated, pushed the grille inwards harder than I had before. There are little tabs that the grille ends snap onto on the duct sides. After working with them and getting the grille to move inwards, it released the duct. A couple of tugs on the snorkel (I was pumped by then and any resistance the snorkel put up was futile) and it was out! Put the duct back in and test drive. I don't know if you can feel 5 hp or 3 lb ft of torque, but with the sound, it seems stronger. Thanks juniic! I am de-snorkeled! Alan
  8. Thanks juniinc. No thats not a scratch no way I would have allowed it ;) just a reflection from camera flash. Unfortunately I couldn't get the factory paint code of the interior silver in time for spraying so my painter tried his best matching it. Its not 100% but close enough. Wait for my after photos. seafeye: all cost me about 450 usd
  9. I seriously think you should seal the back side. No matter how tight u mount your woofer enclosure to the rear fire wall. Its not gonna sounds right. If spacing is the problem u r facing, you should consider doing it with fiber glass . All it will take is less than a quarter inch thickness!
  10. TINTED window kit is now available by juniinc.
  11. They look good! Is that a scratch I see on your door pocket lid? Panameras: The pieces look really good. Thanks for sharing photos. Could you be sure to post photos of the car when everything has been installed? Before and After would be even better. I know how much work it was for you to take everything out in one piece. I also know you will probably enjoy the reassembly process a lot more! Good Luck! Regards, Maurice.
  12. Take it easy, so u don't break it! No, the passenger side appears to just be a cooling fan (similar to a "pancake" fan on a computer) that pulls cool air into the engine compartment. 13. Thanks djomlas they look great. I think i'm gonna order those,,,Go take a look at Boxster Top Issues and Solutions-I'm so confused Is the top replacable, plenty of discussion going on there too. Im starting to sell my tinted plastic window kit on Ebay. LOL
  14. Did you try to slip your finger through the grill then try to free those 3 tabs? they should all come towards you. No, the passenger side appears to just be a cooling fan (similar to a "pancake" fan on a computer) that pulls cool air into the engine compartment. No, I haven't been able to de-snorkel. 15. Porsche recommend every 30,000 miles. MaintenanceSheet9962_06_1_.pdf
  16. Hahaha, same thing that happened to me. I had some bad experience with this plus 2 trips i had to make to a local dealer. Yes I also know a guy who tried to figure it out for several days then finally paid some1 to finish for him.
  17. Yes Sir, our passenger side is to cool down the engine compartment intake air. Sounds like you've taken care of that removal of duct grill, Alan? Be careful u guys, don't be throwing your cigarette butts while u are driving. No, the passenger side appears to just be a cooling fan (similar to a "pancake" fan on a computer) that pulls cool air into the engine compartment.
  18. Yup it's not that easy if you haven't done it before. How long did the whole process take ? I'm just wondering because there are a lot of ppl out there wanting to know.
  19. No problem, How are those wheels holding up?
  20. LOL ,,,all depends on who's doin it. I've done it both way. It is a bit easier to do it with the top off.
  21. Cool ! I'm glad you got her going again PK. Good luck with your new turbo,,, Regards Jun Thanks for your input. It works! The problem is a bad ground connection from the body to the engine. I figured this out by running one of the jumper cables from the negative terminal of my battery to the engine block, turned the key and Viola!! Fired right up! The ground strap from the engine to the body should be pretty significant and easy to find and thus repair. Ought to be Thanks to all who shared this little saga, big relief to me. PK
