  1. I 'm wondering if your interior lights are working? If not most likely its the fuse.
  2. If you don't wanna do the Xenon modification, U can get the almost close to it look with some xenon encrypt bulbs out there euro dezine, hyper blue - there are a few companies make H7 55W
  3. There are many 8,12,24 LED's out there that will replace 7506. Since chris PM'ed me too,,, This is a pic of what I'm using-24 super amber LED. Best place to get em? I have to say Cal-motor on ebay
  4. Taking your 986 on a very curvy 101 Pacific Coast Highway can be a very exciting thing! Once you put your Hand on a small leather wrapped steering wheel, sun is shinning down on U, pacific coast breeze on your face, beautiful girl next to U,,,,, Is there anything better in the world? HAHA Gold Beach. OR Fort Bragg. CA
  5. You should charge your battery first , also to see if it will hold the charge.
  6. hey Alan when those wheels, get em powder coated in black. they will look sharp!
  7. I have a couple sitting around my shop too
  8. I installed BF goodrich on my 350Z about 8000miles ago, now they are terrible! no more BF GOOdrich for me
  9. wiring on the starter is probably Ok? since it sounds like starter motor is cranking fine,,,
  10. Uhm CD changer? I'm just wondering why U would want to purchase one in 2008. I don't even have any CD's sitting around anymore, I think they are soon to be joining their disappeared ancestors - 8 track,cassette/VHS tape,,,LOL I think it is very inconvinient to get out of the car to load up a few CD's , especially when each CD only holds up to 18 songs Since U are going with a new SONY head unit, I would probably consider some sort of DIGITALLY Stored play- back. a good DVD player can play 1-9.4GB dual layer DVD(+/- 2000 songs) , also if it's equipped with DiVX your DVD can be burned as a data base file. IPOD interface or SD/USB input is also a good alternative.
  11. any time cospeed, yup I'm gonna be out there when its warmer
  12. explain 192? I don't really look at my temp ,cause too busy looking at my RPM. seems like mine is always around there though. 9 out of 10 I've seen are usually the coolant cap(loosing pressure) also clean your radiator fins! should drop some degrees. Sorry? Can you explain?
  13. my car runs about at 192 , and it barely moves in high traffic she rises a little bit more .
  14. Do u hear any starter solenoid clicking at all? I'm thinking possibly the battery issue, just because your electrical system is working that doesn't mean the battery is fully charged. it takes some serious cold cranking amps to crank your starter!
  15. 7506/7506LL I replaced mine w/ LED's everybody has em.
  16. Thanks! PPL Yup I'm pretty satisfied with it too,,, Hey westcoaster ,mine came all the way from S.korea :o but I may get these in mass quantity. PM me if u need any.
  17. I decided to add some more visibility/minor front modification this weekend. More than anything, I wanted some sort of working Daytime Running Lights. but rigging my 2 front headlights wasn't good enough for me. I just don't like the look when they are lit up during the day time, also there are times I just want to look kool <_< started looking for a pair of fog lights, something that could fit in a 986's bumper(no cutting ,holes)+could be well integrated+high visibility! Tools U will need - 1 pair LED Lights, 4 butt splice connector, wire stripper, 12V tester working Time - Approximately 45 minutes that's with drinking 2 bottles of Heineken I ended up going with this LED fog's,Super white w/ slight tint of purplish blue <- just what I was looking for(4.5" x 0.5"). I found out that the easiest way to run the wires would had to be through the front headlight housing both front headlights were removed to feed the wires mounted, tapped W/ Ignition ACC She is all finished, looking better than ever :)
  18. I'm a licensed journeyman electrician & EE and I also try to do evrything on my own. but this something that I dont do well I do take it to a local starter/altornator rebuilding shop down the road-been ushing him for ths last past 8 yrs. these parts will be replaced new - contact point, coil set for the motor, armature, brush, solenoid,,,,, Total cost is $80.00 sure beats the dealer cost $500?
