  1. on the back of old cr220 bottom socket A #4 is your constant hot #7 is your switched hot # 8 is the ground. You will also need a RCA cable + remote wire for your JBL AMP. great amplifier by the way. cut the wires off of old NOkia then you will need to use some butt splicers to connect to JBL
  2. I agree carbon knob will look awsome. We usually take a band- saw , cut/shape the flat blade shift lever to fit,,, I don't know perhaps it's just me, but I'd like my 986 to be unique in its way so it easily seperates from the others. good luck ,GUS
  3. 7mm front, 18mm back U will need a set of longer bolts all the way around.
  4. Hey Gus, I'm good & sup? U will be able to find a knob + colored leather boot for $89.95 at Eagleday.com. I think that's gonna be your best bet Hi Juniinc, How are you? As promised I posted my experience with my first DE training this weekend under a new topic DE Experience. With some questions - just for a change...Hahahaahah Coming back to the Knob/Boot issue, I check eagleday.com, but it seems they only sell the entired set (boot+knob) for the Boxster, for $235. I could not find Gert Stills. Any other idea? Thank you very much, Gus
  5. I have a set of H & R Track+ all the way around. Weltmeister is pretty cheap but they aren't going to be hub-centric.
  6. bad fuel pressure regulator can cause this, if its not the DME
  7. drive your car down to Seattle ! I'll do the install for u ,,, haha was ur stock head cr220? I usually hard- wire mine, never seen/used one of those hardness . Step 1 head unit If I was doing this job ,,, would start with installing the head unit. All u need is 3 wires from your cr220 #4 contact - permanent 12+ , #7 contact - switched 12+, #8 contact - ground , new unit should be up & running Step 2 speakers And yes, it is extremely difficult to run new door wires but it can be done,,, if u were equipped with an old stock amp (HAES), existing speaker wires will be at the front trunk, where you will need tap all 4channels. Step 3 amplifier Good thing! U already have those cables ran. It is very important U use a high quality RCA cable, also to run a pair of proper sized power cable(oxygen free)! You will also need a remote wire, u dont want your amp to be running when the car is not on. You should be able to get her done in a few hours, good luck
  8. eagle day sells just the leather boot(available in diff color)for about $85.00. TP also said U might be able to find some at Gert Stills.
  9. All depends on how U wire your speakers( series, parallel). Most hi - performance amp should perform even @ 1 ohm.
  10. Hey, grandrade sup? great choice by the way I don't think much will change when its replaced with a B&M shifter. Porsche uses a flat shift lever unlike some 14mm threaded European cars so is B&M Throwing a short shifter in Ur car would be way more work than replacing your knob I think. First mod would have to be our 986 manual shift knob being 1 piece with its leather boot. So whenever we tried to throw one of these universal knob, a little mod is required? Probably the biggest reason most ppl go for the 1 piece replacement. I checked out your Momo endurance finisher & I don't see how U can possibly make that boot work/look good with that thing being just elastic base, then again I never seen this thing yet. If I was doing this job, I would try to re- utilize your OEM leather boot so it fits around your center console like its supposed to,,,then figure out how to secure the knob - I'm sure that would be the easiest part for u I found 1 of TP's old pics in here, I'm hoping that he doesn't mind ;)
  11. Momo shadow carbon shift is about $90.00 super anatomic is about $50.00 This 5 speed knob is being sold on ebay rite now for $189.00
  12. call automotion, U will be able to find some poly-graphite plastic bushings made by Weltmiester Added special hardeners and lubricants, formulated to give your suspension bearing like action. The result is bushings that have constantly been in the winners circle at IMSA, SCCA, PCA and POC races. The structural memory characteristics and resistance to cold-flow are superior to Teflon® or Delrin.
  13. possible contact failure inside the bulb socket? perhaps socket was ruined when u try to put those blue LED's? I would meter the bulb socket first,,,
  14. If U concerned about getting your leather damaged, U can always use those air bag labe lcover. No alchohol rubbing is needed, just peel the sticker & apply
  15. yes u do have a set balast for your HID system - High Intensity Discharge. I would pull the other bulb out then try to match it exactly same.
  16. I would say 18's for me. I didn't like the ride comfort & handling with my previous 19's + potholes were just killing them I'm sure that all of U've seen my car so,,,
  17. 19's couldbe a little harsh, especially riding on 30 seriese watch out for those pot holes Those 19's U wanted won't rub but prolly will need a pair of 7mm spacers on the rear & dont worry about their no return policy. here is a set of 18''''''''''''s I got , I think 18's looks sweet with sport or row suspension :D
  18. is it Michelin pilot? 1 tire should be ok. I believe u can find the same used tire on Ebay. best to put a 6~7/32 tread left matching used tire,,,
  19. maybe it's just me but I wouldn't go with Blaupuntk. they never really earned the name in that category. For $320 I think can get a much better performance amp with very low distortion rating & mosfet power source, so it can perform maxumum when its like 120F under the hood. How about power from the GODS? HAHA
  20. Bose will barely shake my rear view mirror, isn't it already tight behind your seat perleman?
  21. Yes there is one way would be turn on ur fogs while u are driving? hahaha my LED fogs are wired with the ignition sw, so they come on whenever car is running.
