  1. seems like U got a blown fuse on the alarm control module I don't know why U couldn't unlock the door manually? when it should,,, contact POP a LOCK, seen them having a special slim jim.
  2. U mean the "dome" light? sounds like U need to get it reprogrammed.
  3. My suggestion would be replacing your head unit when u can. I know I'm the one recommended using a line-out converter but they are not the greatest quality signal,,, Hi powered head unit(45Wx4)will be able to push the rear kit, also will make such a substantial amount difference.
  4. hosting 3day training,,, So when is it gonna be?
  5. 10mm socket is all U need to remove the seat, try not to unplug the wiring hardness. Is your car even starting now? if not, it is going to be $$$$
  6. sounds like temperature mix flap is not functioning properly.
  7. notorious IMS failure+cracking sleeved cyl liner+ now timing chain falling apart,,, & There still isn't a factory recall? WOW
  8. You can run a cable from the side that works & splice it into the side U want it to work. get a 12v tester, determine the +contact on the bulb socket that works, solder the jumper wire, extended to the other side, done!
  9. all U need is a jumper wire & soldering gun the other fog will be on within 30mins
  10. I think if U need a baffle for the dash,u got the wrong speakers,,, be creative, a little dap of 2 parts epoxy worked great for me
  11. This should be able to help http://www.awe-tuning.com/pages/faq/awefaq_main.cfm?FAQ=25
  12. this doesn't sound like a snapped bowden cable ,since your inside door is working. It is most likely the door lock cylinder needs to be replaced,,, U can order the CODED lock cylinder if u have a key code+stated lock code. refer to #15
  13. check the battery retaining clip on your remote, make sure it is tight. second issue is prolly caused by a faulty interior compartment contact,,,sounds like hot temp is making it expand.
  14. mileage on your 02 986? Scott, I will probably hear from Porsche in the next day or two telling me "get lost". My engine has metal filings throughout. However, two class action firms have called me back and one of them is already sueing Audi/VW for something. The firm is Chemicles & Tikellis. Look them up and call them. Ask for Ben Johns and tell him you are a fellow Renntech member and I suggested you call him. I told him I would. Bob
  15. "someone was able to adjust the sub speakers in the door to a higher crossover point" they arn't really subs, more like a pair of mids it is possible if U got an aftermarket amp with built in crossover
  16. sounds like a faulty fuel cap actuator,,, try to by-pass that zone, see what happens
  17. sounds like a frayed regulator cable. take a look at this post,,, http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...0&hl=window
  18. great quality control there! much quicker/faster,awsome gear box, better braking, better handling, sounds better Once U've driven a S, would have to admit that it is a totally different car even if U don'tl ike to,,, Ah most important thing, no more getting smoked by S2000 or 350Z at the traffic light
  19. if your window doesn't drop when pull on the outside+inside handle(both), It is most likely the regulator.
