  1. this is "normal" for 03/04 units. its a mixture of many things none of which are affordable for fix due to $ 05 transmission improves on the basis that you also have the matching set of tx modules e-gas, is good and bad, a case of to much automation given that most poodle the car and do not drive it like you stole it. it sets profile, try driving crazy for 30 minutes and note the following change try turning PSM Off and note the starting gear, if its now 1 you ok, if it remains at 2 you tx control unit is in need of replacing EESCO1your smells of e-gas, post 05 the tx was better, good luck
  2. Better late than never, this happened to me, the dealer has the car. Awaiting SW from Atlanta to reprogram fuel systems, then blow out particulate filter, then drive 50 Miles to prove it worked Car went into limp home mode yesterday morning
  3. I would have thought the fastest way would be to pull a couple of plug leads off. Maybe you have a typo
  4. When the engine is cold, 1st gear start program runs to bring the cats rapidly up to temperature for emissions compliance. After the first period, few hundred meters or so it will end and the 2nd gear start program takes over unless overrided by turning off PSM as previously noted. If the MY is early, 03-05 and PSM OFF does not result in 1st gear start then the Transmission control unit is not updated to the latest flash version
  5. Since no one mentioned then I would look at replacing the fuel pumps because they will eventually fail
  6. The Mobridge Bluetooth uses Parrot and requires the supplied Parrot Mic
  7. Firstly the 2.0 and 2.1 systems you reference are for models 2003 - 2008, your model year got 3.0 I seem to remember the audio interfce being little more than an antenna like analgue one, so the volume on your devices have an impact on sound levels. The fact that the USB digital input works fine tells me that maybe your right the analogue input stage or device is shot or had lost power Check your fuses
  8. I have not come across this one before, hard to refute dealer claim since they can talk to the units. Do you have access to a Durametric cable and software, you should be able to pull error messages to confirm. As far as DIY, a new module needs to be programmed into the car. makes it tough
  9. are you sure its not coming from the door ? There was a problem with a seal on the doors which caused a whistle when they were damaged or lost
  10. Sounds like your antenna or the fibre between the under seat unit and the PCM . Does the dvd eject ? if so take it out and then reinsert, if not you might have some sort of power issue to the unit or a blown fuse
  11. at that speed it still could be the tires, have them road force balanced on a Hunter machine. Could be the side walls are flexing
  12. The squeaky vents are normal to that year ( and a fews years after that) its annoying but the fix can be expensive unless your a good DIYer since there are many servo valves to be replaced across the dash. Its actually the hamsters in their exercise wheel Check to see if there is another battery under the subwoofer underneath the trunk floor I doubt the battery is in good shape The auto setting thinks there is a temp mismatch with setting, the aircon control / display unit may be bad, common issue in 03
  13. you mean the tips are black or there is black smoke coming out of the exhaust ? How many miles ?
