  1. Some of the antenna amplifiers will fail, you can find the amplifier behind the trim on the right A-pillar.
  2. Gentlemen, 987 never had a fuel filter under the car.
  3. Till MY 07 button lettering = ECO // MY 08 button lettering = OFF that's all.
  4. On top of the right cylinder head (passenger side - LHD cars), a round tin box.
  5. The DME is bolted on the firewall, behind the carpet, in the rear trunk.
  6. Try - www.homelink.com - there should be instructions on the website, for the car and the garage door as well, if you do a search.
  7. Probably a defective oil pressure sensor, they are known to fail. You can check the connectors on top of the sensor for proper fitting to start with.
  8. It is not the PCM and the manual which are the culprit, some cars are not programed as its should during the production, it's a dealer's duty to check and correct all control boxes before delivery to the customer.
  9. OK, the car use two pumps, mostly alternating, sometimes together. 1/ The fuses (2) and the relays (2) are located in the box under the trim (left side) in front of the windscreen, check the fuses and relays. 2/ Under the car, left side in front of the rear wheel well, you will find a connector with the fuel pumps wiring (wiring enters the car approx. under the left rear seat), check the connector for proper contact and the wiring for heat damage. 3/ The fuel pumps are located under the rear seats left and right, remove the covers, remove the connectors and apply 12V directly on the pump left ( both largest in diameter wires ) You can hear the pump running now, if they don't, replace. Do the same with the pump right. My bet is pump right faulty.
  10. What's happen with the car before ? My feeling tells me that you have forgotten some details to mention.
  11. Correct, i had Dublin Ireland in my mind
  12. 1/ Throttle body 2/ Vent hose power steering pump tank 3/ wreck yard / complete connector via Porsche / specialized shops-companies
  13. The interior light comes up if you push the remote OPEN button and the doors unlock, thus BEFORE you pull on the handle. I, personally, can't believe there is no fault code in the system after what i have read in your previous posts. I recommend a visit to a mechanic with a PIWIS and knowles to use and interpret the tool.
  14. A decent diagnostic tool is a must to have, you are helpless without this days, and it become worse in the future.
  15. MY 2009 Cayenne have only one oil drain plug.
  16. PIWIS have the possibility to change the date, however in normal situations the PCM will pick up the date as default, after you let sit the car in the open air. I would fill up the tank to full, and look what the fuel gauge do, to be sure.
  17. All the parts on the engine are new, inclusive AOS and bellows, only the airco compressor is reused. Are you sure about the MAF part #?
  18. Porsche cars should have a tight grip at that speed whatever the type of suspension is, there are several points to check/improve: steering system + pump - excessive play/slack - pump pressure too high (uncommon) /// Shock absorbers test - faulty/leaking /// Suspension in general - cracked or used silent blocs/excessive play ball joints /// Alignment /// Use approved tyres brand/dimensions. Hope it helps.
  19. Fill up the fuel tank and (let) check the alignment, the car is probably out of alignment.
  20. All Z.F. make Tiptronics have this in greater or lesser range, you can feel the lock working to eleminate slip between the engine and the gearbox, depending on load and RPM. Nothing to worry about.
  21. No need to be concerned about that, the white smoke after a cold start is vapour, normal in Dublin freezing temperatures conditions IMHO.
  22. Porsche's delivered new have only one rear fog light, however, it is still possible that the previous owner did a modification, i can not know that. It looks like the car is suffering with a strange electrical behavior, once with the dash, switch and rear plate illumination, than with a headlight, i would still check the light switch to start with.
  23. Since the battery is replaced, check the + and - cables for proper tightening.
  24. I would check the light switch first, Porsche's have only one rear fog light, R.L. for L.H.D. and R.R. for R.H.D.
