  1. The identification numbers are on a label, glued on the radio chassis. You have to pull the radio out of the dash with the supplied specific tools.
  2. 997/987 have a build in cable tensioner, this makes the difference.
  3. Pull out the grommets to drain the under trays, let, on the front and on the rear, one drain hole partial open by cutting in the grommet. It should be solved.
  4. Looks like you have indeed a big problem, sometimes it will go wrong during an update, OPC's only are authorized to update, and covered by the PCM manufacturer to replace (for free) the unit in case it goes wrong. I hope you can find a solution which help you out as cheap as possible.
  5. Not if the car is equipped with hydraulic motor mounts.
  6. Porsche approved tyres, wheels and tyre pressure, can solve mostly the problem.
  7. Maybe a almost worn clutch?
  8. Turbo radiators and possition are different, that's probably why they left the new ducts in the box.
  9. No problem on a 4 post lift, under load or not make no difference as long both wheels are under the same load.
  10. Your car is probably a ROW version, fill the tank up with the filler nozzle handle in the direction of the rear of the car, instead of straight downwards (to the front wheel). If it doesn't work that way, than you could have a problem.
  11. No idea about Durametric, probably if there are test possibilities in their program, and not only fault code reader/remover.
  12. Thanks to let us know what can happen while driving too long with "check engine" on. It's a lot cheaper to take action ASAP after the CEL comes on. ;)

JFP, to make it for you easier (or other forum members), mail or fax spark plug manufacturer ROBERT BOSCH gmbh, Porsche supplier, they can give you in English, what i not have, they're instructions concerning use of anti seize on spark plugs. It speak for itself that you can do what you think is the best for your car.
  14. In a wet and cold climate as the UK have, it's better to replace the complete bulb unit ((not expensive), the corrosion did his job after 9 years, be sure of that.
  15. PIWIS diagnostic tool should be next, it will help you out in 5 minutes at low costs.
  16. A.T.F. fluid + filter replacement never hurts, use the approved fluid and a filling device is recommended (DIY is on the board) gearbox temp. must be 40° C. (105° F).
  17. Correct, they have to compensate this issue with a 4 wheel alignment restart, this time with a straight and locked steering wheel.
  18. Porsche claimed that the specified torque not will maintain, with anti seize product on the spark plug.
  19. It's indeed the lock up you feel, a typical Z.F. Tiptronic issue, it does no harm just annoying. You can check the fault codes, if there are, for piece of mind.
  20. Sounds normal to me, when the steering lock is engaged (key removed from the ignition), i could be wrong.
  21. 1) Go to a dealership with knowledge. 2) Check or refill the gearbox with approved ATF/check ATF level. 3) "Thus, after a few weeks the other day, the car went into limp mode" there should be fault codes present!! Without fault codes, it's still guessing, could be anything, control box/wiring-connectors/valve block, etc.
  22. Agree with 03BoxsterS, and use approved tyres now you got the chance.
  23. Camshaft position sensor should be a different fault code, P1341 refers to the actuator, as Loren already indicated.

  25. Turbo fuel pumps exhibit such symptoms, in some cases, when they fail. Nothing prevents you first to check the DME and pump relays anyway.
