  1. If you use the same level sender, no recalibration is needed. There is also no recalibration needed if you replace the fuel pump. Let the engine run on the start motor for 10 seconds, with 4.0 - 4.5 Kg pressure the engine will run ( from the head )
  2. Waste of time, there is no Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve.
  3. You have to check the fuel flow and the pressure as well. Looks like there is no pressure enough, let check the pressure. Good chance that the pump is toast.
  4. It is not necessary to remove the steering wheel and dismantle the column. Lower and pull backward the column with the handle at the max. and lock. Pull out the lower/middle trim on the cluster and let hanging on the leather flap, there are 2 screws behind, remove the screws. Wiggle and pull the cluster out, there is room enough, remove the connector.
  5. The rattling you hear while shaking the car at standstill are fill-up balls in the fuel tank, to compensate the volume of fuel ( example: tank is 60.20 L - declared volume: 60.00L - the tank receive 0.20 L in volume as balls - result: volume 60.00L fuel ) In normal driving condition you cant hear the balls rattling, do a search elsewhere on the car.
  6. It takes approx. 30 minutes to fix, warning do not disturb the timing when slacken the chain, you have to take some precautions on the engine. I should go with a mechanic.
  7. You missed nothing Westcoaster, believe me. An extra reason to visit the dealer monthly, no PIWIS no TPMS deal !
  8. TPMS is a option on the car, PCM or Sport chrono + have nothing to do with that. TPMS use the OBC stalk and display but have a control box, antenna, senders, triggers and wiring on his own.
  9. Pre MY 03 flat six engines suffers with this problem, replace all 6 tubes and 12 O-rings. Instructions are here on the board somewhere, 986 and or 996 forum.
  10. Not possible, unless the car have that option.
  11. It is the timing chain tensioner, look out !
  12. If you have done nothing wrong, disconnect the battery for 30 minutes and try again. When the result is the same, a visit to the dealer is recommended.
  13. I'm with wvicary, a visit to the dealer is the only option. Too complicated especially on older Cayenne.
  14. I'm not sure but there are TSB's available for contributing members, perhaps the one you need is between them.
  15. Phillip, have you checked fault codes ? perhaps they are stored in the DME memory.
  16. I'm not an expert, but yes it looks like the beginning of an RMS/IMS leak.
  17. Fix pulley is for Tiptronic ( never in combination with plastic rollers ), free wheeling pulley for manual transmissions. All the alternators comes inclusive pulley over here, can't tell you more.
  18. PDK cars and Tiptronic cars have the same safety downshift program against too high RPM, the difference you can feel, as driver, between both is a quicker and smoother shifting.
  19. Start cleaning the ICV and throttle body, instructions are on the bord here, do a search. If it doesn't help try to catch the fault codes DME and Tiptronic.
  20. Replace the coil and check the mentioned FUSES, the injectors are OK.
  21. Hi Don't panic, a bad coil is probably the cause of your problem IMHO. Cayenne V8 suffer with bad coils, coils can go bad in different way's, cracks will give bad sparks for example. If the coils inside electrical circuit is short, a fuse will blown, the same fuse controls the fuel injectors on the same cylinder bank as the faulty coil which show a "low fuel pressure" fault, the engine runs on one bank. You can check the fuse in the box under the left wiper area, two fuses 1 for bank L and 1 for bank R ( check the manual ). Check this first!! Oil change instructions are available, do a search. Hope it helps.
  22. It is possible to get the PCM 2 without navi. and / or telephone, Bose system or not.
  23. I'm not confident with gauges you mentioned in your post but i assume the red line is the max. admitted pressure, in this case it looks OK. Let check the fault codes, i suppose an issue with a temp. sensor rather than R134a or compressor troubles.
  24. Agree with wross996TT, not possible.
