  1. Agree with juniinc, if the wiring looks OK, hook up a diagnostic tool in actual values mode, O2 sensors check voltage and pending Lambda values ( P0160 )
  2. This is not a exclusive North American issue, the same here. The country official car importer is not happy with warranty issues if the car is never sold by his organisation, and is matriculated at the same country as the official importer ( car delivered by a parallel importer, which have no work shop and no investments to do in hard ware, parts and personnel or in an other country where the car is cheaper ) They have never earned one cent on the car and have to fix the problems, PAG paid only for the parts and the labor to replace the defective parts and a limited part of the diagnostic labour, the difference is for the count of the organisation or the dealer. I have not the intention to defend or attack persons or organisations but the medal have two sides and in a certain way i can understand their opinion, every body is searching for the cheapest way and/or make money. The European law what concerns free movements of goods tell it different, they have to do the job under warranty and they finaly do, but be sure you are number 101 or higher on their waiting list. Such situations are numerous.
  3. The valve is open all the time the engine is hot, with a cold engine the valve will close, if the metal lock is placed in horizontal possition.
  4. Engine temperature is the responsible data for second air pump as Loren said. ROW cars have the same pump, a switch from USA to ROW have no influence to the pump IMHO.
  5. The broken spring is located on the back side of the door trim, it is possible that the dealer forgot to connect a small connector on the back side of the trim in door handle area, while reinstalling the trim. You can take a look if you remove the trim.
  6. The brake switch is located on the ABS hydraulic group, under the DME right front side of the car, in the room under the plastic trim ( wiper area )
  7. The showed hose is a water hose, what you call crusty, looks like dry and cracked engine protection.
  8. The phone module is the most rear one, full light alloy and mounted upside down ( identification sticker downwards ).
  9. Have the pads the same measure ( especially the height ) as the originals? Is the rotor installed and locked on the hub with the two small bolds? Are the wheel bolts locked with 130 newton ( 13 Kgm )?
  10. Yes, it is possible. In this case you have to check the DME "actual values" adaption values reaching rich threshold ( engine takes false air - same symptom as vacuum hose loose/cracked ), in some cases the CEL will come on.
  11. Check the brake switch to start , this is not uncommon. The switch is located on the brake pedal ( the brown one on ROW 986 )
  12. The car trigger a fault code if the rear or front wheels are activated separately during a certain time and speed.
  13. I never was off road so it is only a suggestion, read the manual attentively, all doors-hood-rear door+window closed? car in complete stand still? brake pedal activated? air suspension in highest possition?
  14. The shifter needs a sign ( current ) from the ignition switch via the brake pedal switch to unlock. Check the ignition switch again ( removed from the lock and activated with a flat screwdriver ) and the brake switch as well.
  15. Why have you not asked what the motivation was ? It should have cleared the situation a little.
  16. gandrade1, do you have already cut out the foam on top of the air filter, it will give you a different intake sound, not as a K & N but you try it.
  17. Is it not possible to let manufacture a new bushing in a specialised shop if the shift linkage shaft is still in good shape ? Must be the cheapest way IMHO.
  18. The capsule in the remote is the transponder, need to start the car, not to open the car. The remote is dead, buy a new one, those things can happen.
  19. It is recommended to remove the bumpers for easy access, you need some water and a brush, dry the connectors and sensors with compressed air before installing the bumpers. Gives a special attention on the extreme left and right rear sensor ( above the exhaust tips ) they are real mud containers.
  20. Have the 04 CT in the US no phone module ? ROW 04 CT have the module under the right front seat ( mostly Motorola ) Anyway looks like the MOST circuit is not closed or wrong/incomplete coding.
  21. Drain holes and tubes are in each of the four corners of the sunroof frame.
  22. 1/ it's not a DIY 2/ Tiptronic manufacturer: Z.F. Germany 3/ probably yes, look for transmission specialist with Z.F. connections
  23. You need a diagnostic tool to find out which sensor is faulty. As mudman2 mentioned, clean the sensors on the inside/backside of the bumpers. Check also the sensors for parking damage, slight damage or loose sensor can give faults.
  24. The drivers doorlock is a typical DIY problem Richard.
