  1. The squeaky sound is mostly caused by the diaphragm spring in the pressure plate, if the clutch condition is still OK try to live with if not change the clutch assembly.
  2. If the battery is in good condition, check the brake switch.
  3. Check the throttle cable, perhaps the cable tension is a little too tight.
  4. Remove the gearbox ( manual transmission ), it works a lot easier and you can check the clutch assembly and RMS at the same time.
  5. Air bubbles in the brake fluid gives the opposite phenomenon, the clutch will grab even with depressed pedal. Looks like a mechanical problem IMHO.
  6. Doing the RMS and OAS bellows at the same time is a must if the car is not already equipped with the updated seals. The advantage, if you work with genuine parts, is the perfect fitting without problems, make your choice.
  7. Sometimes one of the two separate electric wires will drop of or have bad contact on the connectors on the motor.
  8. Good chance you blow up the fuse accidental, inspection of the wiring, motor and switch can help you out.
  9. Cabin Air Filter 2004 S Okay folks... Here's what I did to replace the cabin air filter in my 2004 Cayenne S One oddity I discovered is that the two screws holding the filter box access panel in place are not a standard size. 5mm and 6mm do not fit. 5 is too small and 6 is too big. Same thing with 3/16 and 1/4 in nut drivers. These are what I will call the Porsche Metric system Since I didn't have the correct size driver to remove the two screws I used an ugly pair of pliers as seen in the first image. "The engagement point of the clutch is too high" i assume that the pedal travel is too long ( engagement point is almost at the end of the pedal travel ) It's the same phenomenon as a used clutch= clutch plate thickness too thin, buy a original one. What i exactly trying to say is that there is something wrong with the distance ( room? ) between the flywheel and the pressure plate, in fact wrong flywheel, clutch plate or pressure plate.
  11. The cable between the electric motor and the lock is probably broken, open the rear trunk, remove the rear part of the trim and take a look.
  12. 996 hardtops makes the connection automatically with the rear fixation pin. Take a look, the left and right hardtop lock on the car are different, one is equipped with a copper electric connector.
  13. Oil the door hinges and apply a small amount of silicon grease on the chrome door latch to start with.
  14. Replace the door lock/latch inside the door, not the handles.
  15. Boxsters build in Stuttgart are for the home market and/or on demand customer. Like the situation is today, there are rumors to retract the Boxster production from Finland and bring them back to Germany.
  16. The brake switch # is 996 613 113 01 and should have a brown colored body top.
  17. I would recheck the wheel balance to start with.

  19. 1) You are right 2) Lock cylinders ordered with VIN# ( without VIN# is a complete lock set ) can use the old key, i'm not sure if the cylinder is available separately or as unit with the handle.
  20. Just loose both bolts and adjust the chrome latch, inside - outside - up and down and re tighten the bolts. Apply a little silicone grease ( very small amount ) to the latch.
  21. Try to find an other disc drive fan and replace the fan, clear the code and try again. Perhaps it will work before blow up the PCM.
  22. Use your diagnostic tool to read and the code and clear. Death battery's can give odd things on ROW alarm systems, if there is something wrong the fault will return quickly.
  23. You can adjust the emergency brake with a flat screwdriver trough the lug holes, turn the adjuster approx. 2 or 3 clicks back and try again while turning on the wheel.
  24. Phillipe, try to adjust the door latch a little more to the inside to start with.
  25. Inside battery in the siren could be the problem ( ROW - Netherlands )
