  1. Cayenne GPS antenna (covered under the rear door spoiler) are very sensitive to wet conditions. It usually ends with a new antenna.
  2. The example in Loren's post covers the 996 series, 997 is the same procedure inside the rear brake rotors but without the cable adjustment on the handle, 997 hand brake cables are in fact not adjustable, you can leave it that way.
  3. I fear that "caster" is not going to help Phillip with his problem, unless you meant "camber".
  4. Oil filler pipes, OAS, vacuum pipes, etc. are all known for leaks, the shortest and best way to find an air leak is to contact someone with a "smoke machine", your air leak can be found in 10 minutes than.
  5. P0130 - P0150 refers to O² sensors ahead of cat. cylinder banks 1 - 3 and 4 - 6 inter core short circuit or limited. P1124/26/28/30 refers to oxygen sensing adaption area 1 and 2 on cylinder bank 1 - 3 and 4 - 6 RICH threshold which means LEAN running engine. I would try, in first place, with a full tank of fresh premium fuel mixed with a fuel cleaning product, after the error codes are deleted. Parts replacement can always be done later on.
  6. Check also if there is no sporadic poor contact/maladjustment appear on the engine hood lock, the top will not work with the engine hood unlocked.
  7. Check, in first place, if there is no carpet in the way between the pedal and the floor, there can be no complete pedal stroke performed. If not, a switch problem/adjustment could be the culprit.
  8. I have no experience with the company from Hamm, regards the risk, there are not so often engines with this problem. Whatsoever there will be always a degree of risk, also exist for other things. Maybe you can go for a robust warranty?
  9. There are heat shields which are known to rattle in the O sensor area and above the cat, the cat. self can rattle as well. You will look closely to see precisely what's happen.
  10. I would contact an O.P.C. in Belgium which are probably the cheapest in West-Europe for parts and repair, the nearest to you with a good reputation is in Sint-Martens-Latem (Carrera Motors +32 9 2822422)
  11. The washers are deployed by the water pressure, they retract when the water pressure stops, helped by a inside spring system, in other words they are not directly electrically operated. Check if the washer slide up and retract smoothly when you manually operated the system and check also if any tube or return valve is blocked. You can give it a try with cleaning but in most cases, it will be a replacement.
  12. Probably cylinder wall damage, some M96 engines (flat 6) also suffer with the same issue, they use the same allusil metal composition, 69% allu.-31% silic. Cayenne rebuild V8 engines are also available as a naked bloc, which means without cylinder heads, injection, etc. So look good which ultimately is the cheapest. Good luck.
  13. The switches are build as one part together with the electronic circuit, they are removable along the rear side of the door trim, so you will have to remove the door trim.
  14. The best is a bumper removal, it is possible that the nozzle is separated partially, and that is only good visible with the bumper removed.
  15. Why do you assume that this failure is caused by overpressure? A weak spot on the air strut bellow, caused by road debris, wear, an accident happened before or something similar gives the same result. Check whether the lower bellows attachment is not torn also. All brands of air suspensions have some issues with that.
  16. Yes you have to remove the B pillar, under the trim and rubber window joints, you will find both window fixing nuts, taking care because this is also an adjusting system (inside-outside) more than a fixation. A pillar removal procedure is certainly on the site (same as 996.)
  17. I would clean the entire suspicious area properly, this will give you a much better overview, there are a lot of stuff there that can leak.
  18. The fault warning (lamp/text) on 318touring car is stored in first place in "Combi instrument" memory and can be reset by PIWIS, however, the warning is also stored invisible in the DME but become visible when running a "Vehicle analysis" on line in case of engine troubles - time and duration.
  19. The electric and electronic part of the AC/heater system is tested by a PIWIS diagnostic tool through a system scan. If traces of foam are blown from the vents, this means a problem with the hot/cold valve foam lining. Do a search, this item has been here several times addressed, inclusive a DIY solution. Success.:renntech:
  20. "Radio receiver defective" in Porsche language refers to the remote system (radio waves) not on the radio (in car entertainment), not sure about Durametric. PIWIS can help you out.
  21. If i were you, i had the entire clutch replaced, only the disc does not work. There is probably something wrong with the pressure plate condition, given the rather strange pedal behaviour and the associated smell. A second opinion, performed by a qualified person, would be a good point IMHO.
  22. Looks like a sensor or actuator problem, take a look if the outside temp. sensor on the right side in the front bumper is still in place, sometimes the sensor falls out the support and lies against the warm radiator. If not, using a PIWIS diagnostic tool is the best way to go.
  23. I suppose that Bentley meant the full ATF capacity inclusive torque converter, after rebuild. The service capacity is much less. The Tiptronic fill procedure is: gearbox 40° Celsius, engine off, filling to overflow the filler, engine idling and refill to overflow the filler..
  24. Take a good look on top of the engine for oil deposit, if the engine is clean there, i suspect the cylinder head gasket.
  25. Start with the inner bleeder, always gives a good result if done properly.
