  1. Have you already cleaned the idle control valve and throttle body, and tried another brand of 98 RON fuel? It can help to solve the unstable engine RPM between 1.800 and 2.000.
  2. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html XLR82XS do you think the 4 wheel drive system, ABS, Tiptronic gearshift patern, etc. are going to be happy with such differences?
  3. 987 use mini relays for fuel pump etc., located in the relay box under the dash, driver side LHD cars. The TDC sensor also will cause some starting problems once in a while, usual with warm/hot engine.
  4. https://sites.google.com/site/mikefocke2/whenyourbatteryisdead Found in the 986 forum, maybe you can do something with.
  5. http://www.renntech.org/forums/topic/42048-brake-booster-warning-troubleshooting/?hl=%2Bfaulty+%2Bbrake+%2Bbooster#entry224479 Try this out!
  6. It should be RIGHT side in the engine compartment, sorry seems that i'm not awake yet.
  7. If you follow both thick wire bundles, left in the engine compartment, you have to see the grommets through the rear firewall right? Make a small hole in it and use it as a transit for the additional wires.
  8. With a fully charged and a battery in good condition would indeed not be a problem, but there is not always an indication of a weak battery till the problem occurs, and then you are in trouble.
  9. Sorry Frank, i fear that yourself will have to sing. I do not know of a trick to bypass the system. Maybe repeat the procedure could be a solution, but risky for the battery, an empty battery will you definitely not have in the middle of the night.
  10. 17 mm spacers are fitted with the Original wheel bolts on the hub, the wheels are mounted with the supplied lug nuts on the spacer/hub assy as the 17 mm spacers are fitted with studs. I would recommend to use OEM spacers since some after market ones has been shown cracks after time.
  11. I recommend to read the error codes, without codes we can only guess, the possibilities are multiple. Maybe there is an air leak or damage resulting from reinstalling the starter motor? Take a look there in first place.
  12. It is true that the condition of the suspension influensed the ABS behavior, but also a major culprit are the tires. Brand (same brand around?), age, general condition of the tires (tire profile depth and variety as summer/winter/all season/correct tire pressure and size/etc.)
  13. Cam timing solenoids have nothing to do with hydraulic valve adjusters, such as your topic title states, hence Loren can find nothing. Still thanks for the workshop campaign number.
  14. The hook has only two possitions, fully closed or fully open. As the top easily opens without problems or any help, with the hook in the fully open position, then there is nothing wrong.
  15. My answer was to the question of royxaxa how it is possible that such small engines are verry easy to drive. They are masters of engine downsizing,in fact complete drivetrains, with annual new engine design, power and mainly high and flat torque curves, aided by S-tronic gearboxes, advance by technic they call it. Concerning durability and subsequent technical problems are still a question mark. Porsche act a lot more conservative and doing engine upgrates step by step, the last 997 turbo's have also recieved the turbo's with variable vanes. It might wait for the Cayenne as well to have that future or an entirely new engine to replace the already old V8?
  16. Audi used turbochargers with variable vanes on the compressor wheels, some of them even with a mechanical charger, Roots blower, extra in front of the turbo (TFSI engines). Porsche used for your Cayenne two classic turbo's with fixed vanes on the compressor wheels, hence the difference.
  17. Indeed, in a complete stock car, you will quickly to the Amp. as culprit.
  18. You mai count 4 hours for a Turbo, 1,5 hours for a Carrera.
  19. Looks like JFP is too fast for me.
  20. Given the DME rich threshold stands for both cylinder banks, this means that the engine is running too lean and not richer can be put, an air leak is likely the cause. The squeal noise is also an indication of, among other air leaks, a comming AOS failure. A decent check with a smoke machine is a must for the fast detection of air leaks.
  21. There is less than 5 Km/h no speed signal present for ABS, doorlock, belt chime PSM, etc. If you are below that speed for movements in the garage or drive way, there is no problem. Disabling can not be performed with PIWIS over here.
  22. The noise seems to come more from the differential which is not abnormal in such a short fort and back movement of the wheels. It remains difficult from behind a PC screen to Judge, even with video, the lack of physical contact with the car plays a not insignificant role. I would go with an experienced technician for a second opinion if i were you.
  23. I would first replace the oil filler tube, impossible to get such a thing air leak free after it was broken, then perform a test with a smoke machine for further air leaks.
  24. The rear vents do not have much flow, ditto in summertime with AC on, unless if there is a double AC unit mounted (split system front/rear)
  25. Your post #1: the cardan shafts have Always slack in the longitudinal direction, otherwise the wheels can not go up and down, so normal. I can not open the video in post #2, no permission according the forum.
